"Because, you're the killer, Y/n. I'm simply... an accomplice. " Jim smiled and you narrowed your eyes at him, that was his plan? Make Sherlock believe you were behind all this? He seemed far too arrogant to let you take all his credit. You were sure he'd eventually take the credit, a psychopathic killer like him had to dig right into the mess he'd created. Take the glory for himself. He wanted the world to know his name, what he had done. He thought what he was doing was brilliant. Well, he was terribly mistaken.
"Sherlock would never believe that. He'll see right through your plan. He already knows you've kidnapped me." You scoffed weakly, shaking your head. There was no way Sherlock would believe you'd been in charge of this entire fiasco. Sherlock knew you, and he just couldn't believe you killed all those people. He wouldn't. You'd been working together for far too long to convince him of that.
"Oh, but that will just shock him even more when he learns you're the culprit! You'll convince him, you will, or else you and Johnny boy will explode." Moriarty made a small explosion noise, as he mimicked a bomb exploding with his hands.
"John? What do you mean John?" You asked squinting at him, nervousness evident in your voice. He had John in his clutches now?! You couldn't hold back your nerves at the thought of John being hurt. This wasn't looking too good for you at the moment. You started scanning your brain for help, but no answers came to mind. In fact you couldn't think of much at the moment besides the fact Moriarty's plan was practically perfect, you being at the lab all day, not being able to help Sherlock with his tests, it'd make perfect sense to Sherlock you were behind it. The only choice you had was to go along with his plan.
"Well, of course I have John here too. All strapped up with a big, bad bomb of his own." Moriarty grinned at your shocked expression. This couldn't be happening. "Convince them, or else... you all die." Moriarty smiled at this. You glared at him, but you knew he wouldn't hesitate to set the bombs off.
"Alright." You growled, finally breaking in. You desperately needed to keep John and Sherlock safe. You had to go above and beyond to convince Sherlock; you had to or else he'd die and you weren't about to let that happen. A world without Sherlock was not a world you wanted to live in. If either of them died in this mess, you'd never forgive yourself. Ever. "Tell me what to do." You muttered, lowering your head in defeat. Moriarty laughed giddily- he had outsmarted you, but you didn't raise your head to look at him. You felt as if you'd already let Sherlock and John down. You were a failure.
Moriarty then instructed you on what you had to do. He told you John was already wired up to a headset. He didn't know who'd kidnapped him, so you'd be convincing him you were the killer too. Your job was to make it look like you were forcing John to talk through the headset with a phone. This phone would recite to John whatever you typed. So, you needed to convince both John and Sherlock that you had been the bomber and had worked with Moriarty. If you were successful, all of you would live and if not... well you'd all die.
"One thing still doesn't make sense, how are you getting Sherlock here?" You questioned, thinking. Moriarty chuckled at you and you thought hard.
The cases Sherlock had finished... he'd only done three you knew of. So, was there another case that would lead him here? Five pips, five cases. He'd had to have finished another case already, but was this the last one?
As you were thinking, you realized something. Sherlock had completed five cases, although not all of them were proctored by Moriarty. There was one... Mycroft's case, that must be it! He must've been solving it on his own without you or John knowing. That was so like him. Which would mean he'd have whatever made that case a government case. The guy who got killed, he probably had some sort of top secret government files. Moriarty must want them, and Sherlock knew that. He had to have pieced together Moriarty was behind all of this, that's why Sherlock must have reached out to Moriarty, told him to meet at the pool, the pool where Carl Powers was killed. It was brilliant.
"It's a meetup. Sherlock knew you wanted whatever that kid got killed over, Andrew West... he asked to meet you here." You told him, wondering why Sherlock hadn't let you know this. He had to have been working on the case from the moment Mycroft had spoken a word on it. You could've helped him, plus he knew how dangerous it was to meet with Moriarty alone. He was being selfish. Even if he did think you were kidnapped, it wasn't a good plan.
"Yes... but also no. I don't care for the missile plans." Moriarty sighed, rolling his eyes. So they were missile plans, you noted. The fact he didn't care for them meant he wanted something else. What could he possibly want that he couldn't get on his own?
"Then what do you want? What are you gaining from this, why are you doing this?"
"I'm bored." Moriarty replied with a dark grin. You shook your head at him, he was insane.
