I pulled Arya off my lap carefully, "Just a sec love, I'll be right back." I whispered before pulling myself up off the floor and over towards the lanky, suited figure.
I spoke up before he could say anything, "Do you have any idea of what just happened out there?"
He raised an eyebrow, "A bombing, Queen. A huge bomb right in the middle of the Wolve's Gyabo."
I rolled my eyebrows, "I'm well aware of that, but do you know anything else? You seem to always have information, even about things you certainly shouldn't know."
Bel pondered over this, "True, but that's because I take the time to try and find said information. There isn't anything you can do about that one, but I'm afraid I don't really know anything."
My heart sank, "We're friends, right? Bel this is important, if you know anything, about anything. You need to tell me."
Belial looked down at the floor for a moment, but when he looked back at me, a large smirk was planted on his face, "I know that we will be having a change in government very soon. Whatever is happening, it's real, and it's serious. And it needs to be treated as such," He admitted, "Anything you have planned to stop this, get it done as soon as possible. Because who knows how long you can be away before the attacks start becoming a daily thing."
"So you don't know anything?" I confirmed,
Belial gave me a million-dollar smile, That's exactly what I'm saying. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Do you need me for anything else?"
I put a hand to my forehead, "No, you can go. I'll see you later I suppose."
He bowed, "Of course, My Lady. And remember, talk to your mate about moving up that meeting with the Southern continent. A month and a half or so may be too long." He warned before walking off, leaving me feeling more useless than I ever had before.
I turned back around at the precise moment that the doors flew open. I saw Maddox first, hastily dressed in a pair of shorts and a shirt that looked like it was on backwards. He went around the small circle made in the middle towards me, he inspected me first, just making sure that nothing was wrong, before pulling me into a hug.
"Did anything happen here?" He asked, voice muffled by my hair.
I shook my head, "The sound travelled quite easily, and we certainly felt it. But other than that, we felt nothing."
I pulled away from his embrace, "We need to go down. Inspect the scene, there may be something there, we need to figure this out as soon as possible, because it's happening too often now. It's becoming unsafe,"
Maddox bent down and kissed my nose, "I understand dove, and may I add, you are acting very queenly right now."
I paused, "I suppose I am. Probably has something to do with you, but who knows."
"How were the pups?" Maddox asked, "They seem happy,"
"Well, they liked Elijah and Isaiah quite a bit, actually, a lot. They were terrified, but we managed to calm them down enough that they stopped crying. They just wanted their parents in the end." I affirmed, my heart going warm. "Anyway, I tried to talk to someone that I thought might know something. He told me that it's extremely important that we go talk to the southern continent as soon as possible."
Maddox ran a hand through his hair, "We're leaving in about three weeks. I couldn't get it sooner. The news of these attacks travelled down to the Royal Family there, as well as the group of people who allow entrance into their countries. Three weeks was as soon as I could get it since they need to perform a bunch of security stuff before we head down. Especially since your coming, someone who has never visited the Southern Continent before."
