Chapter 26

As I turn to leave he grabs my arm and whispers in my ear “where do you think you are going sweetheart?” The sound of his voice sends pleasure shivers down my spine and I can’t help but shiver.

“Well seeing as you’re a shifter and I am a vampire we will never work” I say trying to sound indifferent.

“First off I’m a werewolf and second I know a werewolf, vampire couple and they are completely happy with each other so don’t knock it till you try it” he says huskily.

“Well I just got rejected by my own kind why would you want me” I say looking him in the eye.

“Because I was also rejected by my own and besides I could never ask for a more beautiful and tasty second mate as you” he says showing the truth in his eyes before putting his face in my neck and licking it making me moan.

Chad’s POV:

I’m sitting at the bar when I notice a very hot, no, smoking hot girl walk up and order a drink. I can see her checking me out and breathing in my scent. As I watch her from the corner of my eye I breath in her scent and it’s the most delicious thing in the world to me, she smells like hot chocolate and marshmallows. I take in her appearance and she has dark chocolate brown hair that reaches in between her shoulder blades and as I catch her eyes I see they are a forest green color. As she turns to walk away I grab her arm.

“Where do you think you are going sweetheart” I ask loving how she shivers at the sound of my voice.

“Well seeing as you’re a shifter and I am a vampire we will never work” she says trying to sound indifferent.

“First off I’m a werewolf and second I know a werewolf, vampire couple and they are completely happy with each other so don’t knock it till you try it” I say huskily.

“Well I just got rejected by my own kind why would you want me” I say looking him in the eye. At her revelation I can’t help but want to shred the bastard to pieces. How could anyone not want this beautiful woman in my arms. I hide my emotions not wanting to push her away.

“Because I was also rejected by my own and besides I could never ask for a more beautiful and tasty second mate as you” I say and hope I’m showing the truth in my eyes before putting my face into her neck and licking it making her moan.

‘Hey Chad can you come play the drums for me I want to sing a song to my mate because she doesn’t want to accept me yet, she thinks I will reject her too like her true mate did’ Chase says though our mind link.

‘Sure bro but can we say it’s dedicated to mine too she just told me the same thing and I want to kill the bastard’ I reply.

‘I know how you feel man. Let’s meet at the table I want Aria to sing with me while I play guitar’

‘Alright meet you there’

“Hey sweetheart come with me” I say pulling her with me to the table where the whole pack is now.

Aria’s POV:

‘Hey Aria will you sing a song with Chad and I for our mates’ Chase asks me though mind link.

‘Yeah sure, what song’

‘I’ll be there by Jackson 5. I’m going to play guitar and sing with you while Chad plays the drums’

‘No problem’

‘Okay be at the table in a sec’

With that Chase and Chad make their way to the table where the rest of the pack and I are sitting and having a drink.

“Guys this is Layla my mate, Layla this is Conner & his mate Jade, Cole & his mate Sam, Nick & his mate Crissy, Max & his mate Olivia, and Xavier, Alex, and their mate, my best friend, Aria” he says introducing us.

“Hi” all of us girls say and the guys nod their heads.

“Hi” she whispers.

“Hey guys this is my mate Hanna, Hanna this is Conner & his mate Jade, Cole & his mate Sam, Nick & his mate Crissy, Max & his mate Olivia, and Xavier, Alex, and their mate, Aria” he says winking at me. I shake my head and smile. “Oh and Conner and Jade were the couple I was telling you about.”

Hanna’s eyes widen as she looks at them. I’m guessing he told her about them being a vampire and werewolf together.

“Hi Hanna” all us girls say politely while the guys nod their heads again.

“Hi” she says and grabs Layla’s hand. I tilt my head to the side, I mean I can see a little resemblance but not a lot.

“We are cousins” Layla says seeing my look. I nod my head understanding.

“Well why don’t you girls have a seat and we are going to steal Aria for a second we will be right back” Chase says walking behind the booth before lifting me up and over the back. As he sets me down he and Chad grab my wrist and drag me away.

Walking up onto the stage is as nerve wrecking as the first time.

“Chad, the drummer, and I would like to dedicate this song to the two most wonderful girls we have met. Hope you enjoy” as he says that they start to play.

As the song comes to an end I look at the table and smile it looks like the girls have made their choice. As we walk down Hanna & Layla jump up and meet Chad and Chase in the middle of the dance floor and kiss them. As I walk closer I hear both girls say yes we accept you and the guys pick them up spinning them around. I smile at them and turn to go back to the table when I’m frozen in place.

“Aria”

I know that voice anywhere. He was the thing my nightmares were and are still made of. He is the reason I am the way I am today. He is the reason for my insecurities. I turn around to face him.

“Peter” I say with a hard cold tone.
