The warrior fool dropped far easier than I would have liked but this was a stealth mission, we didn't want the female to know our presence, yet. Sidney Blake was a feisty little thing but I had new orders from the main boss man that she was to be at full health for the Pit, so my previous plans to take her by force were out. Apparently they wanted her to last as long as possible and I had to admit I was looking forward to the show, what I'd heard of the she wolf had me mighty curious.

I knew as long as we went after her she would fight us but I'd gotten other information on how to make her yield to us first. The simplest and easiest way was to wipe out her only friends in this world, capture them and she'd come running to us instead of running away, and there was only one left to catch. The others had been sleeping so soundly that a quick prick of the skin made it easy to drag them all out of their beds without a sound. This mission was just far too easy, but I had my own plans the others didn't know about, I'd get my fun in this, one way or another.

                                                      Gavin

What was taking so long, if he'd gone off to bother Sidney I hope she kicked his a** but if he was taking a nap somewhere, I was going to do my very best to kick his a** for her. I set the knife on the counter as I headed outside, there was no shouting in Sidney's direction so I took a quick peek to see she was happily sitting in the coyote pen talking to him like she'd done with Spartan. I was really going to have to get the devil dog out of here before she got more attached and we suddenly had a coyote in our house along with the wolf dog mutt.

I left her be as I headed back for the shed in search of Beckett, I just rounded the corner of the building when I saw him sprawled out on the dirt path. I immediately went still as I opened my mouth to shout for Sidney, something was so very wrong, but before I could make a sound a sharp pinch in my neck had me dropped down beside him. I caught a hazy glimpse of a few shadowy figures as a soft groan whispered through my lips, Sidney I had to warn her but I couldn't move or speak. "That's twelve, this was too d*** easy." One spoke softly. "But the game is just getting started, now she comes to us and..." I was pulled into darkness before I could catch the rest of his words.

                                                      Sidney

I was really drawn to the sheer spunk of the coyote pup, so much so that I knew I'd miss him when he was released, but he was born wild and that was how he needed to stay. "Well buddy, another couple days and you'll be free, maybe we'll see you out running sometime." I sighed to him as I stood and dusted off my jeans before making my exit to go find the boys and help with cleaning cages. I stepped into the food prep area and suddenly the feeling of danger rushed through me, something was wrong, very wrong. A knife was laid out on the counter beside some chopped up carrots and all the food was still sitting there waiting to be dished out.

"Gavin, Beckett, where are you!?" I stepped outside and shouted for them, waiting a few beats in the silence as the hair on my arms stood on end. I was on alert and extremely uneasy, I smelled no threat but that didn't mean anything in my world, my instincts for fight or flight were never wrong. I followed both tgeir scents around the side of the building, where their trail suddenly died in its tracks. Then all the dogs started to whine and shake their heads in pain, and suddenly my own nose started to burn and I bit back a grimace. The scent was something I knew well enough, a masker that would irritate my senses until I got some fresh air, and something used to prevent me from tracking.

I dropped to my knees to examine the dirt as I held my breath at the burning stench, a tiny yellow and black needle had fear racing through me. I lunged to my feet with a snarl as I pulled my phone free and started dialing the boys one by one. I hurried to throw the food out to the residents of the sanctuary while each one went to voice mail. I forced myself not to panic since they'd been sleeping when we left, but the sinking feeling only grew stronger, I had to find them and fast. The car would take forever if I could even find the keys so opted for a quick shift as I ran for the pack house, the route was a lot quicker as I cleared my nose of the burning scent masker.

The scent of rogues saturated the air and there were tire marks I didn't recognize, I barged into the house stark naked as I searched the empty rooms hoping and dreading what I might find, all of them were gone. I phoned Bowen's parents and was glad to hear they were fine at least, I lied through my teeth that the boys and I would be out for a bit and assured tgem not to worry. The moment I hung up on his mother I was dialing another from the house phone that had geen drilled into my brain no matter how hard I'd tried to forget it. "Hello little wolf, I've been waiting for your call." His deep chuckle made my blood go cold as my hands shook with anger at the familiar hate flooding me.

"Where are they Nash, so help me if you harm any of them I'll make the fiasco of my escape look like puppy play when I rip you apart." I snarled into the phone. "Don't be hasty little one after all it's been so long since we've had one of our little talks." He rumbled out slowly. "Get to the point you sadistic piece of crap, where are they and what do you want." I snapped. "Oh littke wolf you know exactly what I want, besides they haven't been harmed, yet." He hissed into my ear, the low growl rumbling in my throat was a constant but at least I knew they were alive, for now if he kept his word.

"But if you don't get your pretty little tail back here then that won't last long, my offer is simple. If you show up on time you can save them, if not they die as painful a death as possible, and I've heard how fond you are of them all, especially the pups." He crooned coldly. "Don't you dare touch them!" The beast was stirring angrily beneath my skin. "That choice is up to you little one, you or them either way I get a show for The Pit tonight. There's an address and a time under the dog bowls, don't be late little wolf your friends lives depend on your prompt arrival, it's going to be one h*** of a show tonight." He chuckled before the phone went dead, I threw it across the room.

I rushed to find the piece of paper under the food bowls, memorizing it before heading upstairs. I found Bowen's phone since mine was back at the sanctuary and I made another call in desperation, the moment I heard them pick up I bit back a sob. "Sidney, what's wrong, your on speaker and we're all here, the pups are upstairs resting." Mads voice had me teary eyed at her concern for me. "They're gone, they are all gone, they took them and if I don't go, they'll be dead before the sun rises tomorrow." I puffed as I calmed my anger and worry the best I could.

"What do you need little one?" Alvalrado murmured. "I need your help. You know that story you told me about the accidental near death thing, do you think you could do that non accidentally for me?" I voiced softly. "Of course and we've got the ability to fly anywhere we need to with our helicopter, just send us the information." Denzel confirmed and I thanked them with the hopes they could make it on time.

I texted them two addresses before I hurried to pack a change of clothes. I put food out for my pets and wished them the best as I headed out alone, shifting and taking my bag into my teeth. I ran as fast as I could without running myself to exhaustion the place was so far away that I worried I wouldn't make it on time, but I had to. I felt resolve settling in as I picked up more speed, no matter what I would not let them die for me tonight.

*Okay it's about to go down and I've got no clue what's coming next which is exciting and crazy since I'm the one writing this all out, hope you enjoyed the update.*
