After the serpents rushed out to follow Toni and Joaquin to the hospital, everything became a blur to me. Toni was fucking alive, barely, but she wasn't dead. I rushed home, I forgot how I even ended up home since I was in such a daze. My head was spinning, I couldn't comprehend the fact that Toni was still alive, yet she might have just died in front of me.

A car horn blared from outside of the front door, I made my way outside to hop into the car with Veronica, however being greeted with Heather's car pulling into my driveway behind V's.

Veronica stepped out of her car when she saw Heather pull in behind and open her door. "Hey babe where are you going?" Heather smiled innocently, Veronica was however already aware of the situation between the two of us and knew how controlling this relationship was.

"We got paired up in English to do a project together and we were gonna work on it at my place." Veronica interjected before I could reply to Heather myself. "Okay, I'll come over when you're home then. Love you babe." Heather kissed my cheek lightly but her fingers were digging into my hipbone threateningly, before she let go and pulled away from my house.

"I'll get Andre to bring us another car. I know that bitch will check that I'm parked outside of the Pembroke later so I'll have him take this one back. Gimme a second Cher." Ronnie soothed me, before rushing to call Andre and order him to bring her other car.

After waiting 20 minutes and receiving multiple missed calls from Fangs and Sweetpea that I would never have the guts to answer, Andre dropped off another car and we began our journey to the hospital. "Why are you ignoring them?" Veronica questioned from beside me, her eyes momentarily flicked to my phone screen, which was lit up with the missed calls from the boys, in my lap.

"I don't know if I'd like to hear what they want to say." I pushed a weak smile out, rather making myself seem even more depressed about the whole situation. "Just answer it, we know that Toni's okay so surely it'll be something good, right?" she settled with me. I nodded my head sheepishly back to her and waited for the next call to light up my phone screen, luckily I only had to wait a few seconds for that to happen.

"Finally you pick up!" Fangs almost shouted down the phone. "Sorry my phone was on silent. What's wrong?" I replied to the boy. "Are you coming to the hospital?" He questioned worriedly. "Yes, why? Has something happened? Oh god what's happened?" I rushed out in a panicked state. "Cheryl calm down. Nothing happened, Toni's fine, Joaquin's fine. It's just... Toni's asking for you, she has been since she woke up. I think you need to talk to her alone when you get here." My palms began to sweat as he finished his sentence. I hadn't seen Toni in forever and the first thing that she comes back to is me, with some girl that I was with not even a week after she went missing. God I'm such a fucking idiot.

"Cheryl?" came from the line, I forgot momentarily that he was even still on the call. "Yes. Yes of course that would b-be fine." I told him sheepishly. "Okay we're nearly there so goodbye." I rushed out and hung up the phone.

"Why are you talking like that." Veronica chuckled nervously. "Like what? I'm not talking like anything." I panicked. "Cheryl you're talking fast and proper. What's wrong? What did Fangs want." She questioned. I, however, shook my head and refused to answer her question, sitting in total silence until we reached the hospital parking lot. Veronica was understanding of the silence, luckily.

We entered the hospital, arms linked and heads facing the ground, silently making our way to the floor that Toni had been put on. Fangs, Sweetpea, Jughead and Betty came into clear view, congregating in the hall, between two doors that were across from each other.

"Finally! Cheryl could you please go in alone? She won't speak to any of us, she just says your name, that's it." Jughead worriedly asked me, his tone had underlying confusion in it. I nodded my head slowly and approached the door.

Fangs opened it up for me, knowing that I'd hesitate otherwise and guided me inside of the room with his hand, closing the door once more behind me.

My eyes locked with Toni's, since her head instantly shot up as soon as she heard the door close.

"Hi baby." She smiled cutely, gesturing for me to come closer. I took small steps towards her bed, getting closer and closer until she could reach me. She held on to my hand and pulled me down to her level, wrapping her arms tightly around my neck and letting a few stray tears fall. I could feel the dampness gathering in the crook of my neck. I returned the embrace and wrapped my arms gently around her torso, not wanting to damage her at all.

"I missed you baby." she whispered into my ear softly. God, hearing her voice just set off something inside of me, my heart raced and my head pounded with dizziness until I couldn't hold back anymore. A sob escaped my throat and tears began to stream down my face. "God I missed you... too TT. I m-missed... you so much." I got out between sobs, her hands that were around the back of my neck began tracing patterns in the nape of my neck where my baby hairs were.

I missed you too baby. God.

i also haven't proof read this properly, if anything needs fixing then i'll sort it at a later date😂 i promise that updates on books will be more consistent from now on. when this book finishes which will be sometime soon i'm gonna be starting a one shot type of thing if anyone's interested in anything, then hopefully i might turn some of those into full books, depending on how good i think the storyline could be.
