"You two are acting weird." John answered, looking between the two of you as you ate.
"We normally act weird, John." Sherlock answered, already giving up on his half eaten plate.
"Whatever. Just know if something is going on between the two of you, that's fantastic, really." John said as he continued working on his eggs. You pushed around the last bit of your food, not really having an appetite anymore.
"You guys probably need to go shopping, I'm pretty sure a spider moved into one of the empty cupboards." You finally said as you picked up your plate, scrapping the excess into the trash and placing it in the sink to be washed.
"Yeah... we should get that done." John agreed, looking at Sherlock.
"Fine." Sherlock nodded, scooping up his tea and heading to his desk. You grabbed his plate, emptying it and placing in the sink along with yours. You began washing the dishes after John finished eating.

"Why did all three of us have to help with the shopping?" You complained, crossing your arms across your chest in the back of the cab. You were shoved in between John and Sherlock and you'd rather be back at the flat looking for a new case.
"I didn't force you to come." John told you, shrugging. That was true, but John wanted Sherlock to go with him. If Sherlock was going then you wanted to as well. You thought that maybe you could get him alone to talk to him as soon as you possibly could.
You shivered as Sherlock's hand brushed over your thigh as he scooted around in his seat. You elbowed him lightly and he grunted turning to you to give you a confused look. 'Cut it out' you told him with your eyes as he looked down at you. He furrowed his eyebrows, not dropping the 'I'm confused' look. Whatever, you thought turning back towards the front of the cab.
You thought he was just teasing you by "oh so casually" touching your thigh. You needed to talk to him and John was only making the entire situation worse. You couldn't even think with Sherlock's breath softly brushing your neck and his leg against yours. Not to mention his hand just inches away from yours.
You practically fell out of the cab when you reached the store and ran in, leaving John and Sherlock in the dust. They caught up with you and you gave John a very awkward and forced smile as he gave you a questioning look. Temptation was overcoming you.
"I'll go look for the cold items." You told him to break away from them. That sounded stupid, god John was totally going to found out if you kept that up.
"I'll help!" Sherlock quickly followed you and once you were out of John's sight you sighed in relief, stopping in a small aisle to look up at Sherlock.
"Okay, we need to talk." You blurted as your mind raced in every direction. Sherlock looked at your hair that was pulled back into a small braid and began playing with it. Your face flushed and you pushed him away. "Sherlock, come on. This isn't you, this isn't me. We don't believe in this stuff and yet we kissed last night... a lot. We had an intimate connection." You spoke of it in the least awkward way you could. A blush rose on your cheeks as you saw a woman glancing at the two of you, probably hearing your words. She walked away and you continued on. "I liked it, Sherlock. No, I loved it. I can't stop thinking about you and I don't know what it means." You pressed your hands to your face as you tried to think. You looked up at Sherlock and he seemed lost in thought. "Sherlock, you really seemed to not be affected by this and it's freaking me out." He pursed his lips looking at you, his eyes far away.
"I'm not unaffected, I don't know what it means either but I'm not opposed to seeing where it goes." He said. Your eyes went wide as you looked at the man in front of you. You didn't even know who this was.
"Am I talking to the same man that told me he hated relationships and dating just months ago? You know my emotions are wacky, what if it's just like you always say? A chemical defect on the losing side?" You bit your lip so unsure of everything. You used to always know what you wanted and what it meant. Emotionless and smart. Now, you were still smart but emotions got in the way. You were confused and a mess. You never knew what anything meant, and you were always too quick to anger.
"I know, but something is telling me different... I don't know, Y/n. This feeling I have, that I have had. It's strong and I tried to ignore it or make it disappear, but I can't conceal it anymore. You're different... you won't make my job harder, you're smart and emotion won't get in the way of that, not like it does for other people." You looked at him, your heart flooding. These words sounded nothing like him, but maybe you'd opened his soft spot. He grabbed your hand in his and you looked up at him, feeling a lot better about it. "We don't have to define it, that doesn't sound like us, does it? We don't even have to talk to John or anyone about it."
"Okay." You smiled, squeezing his hand in yours as you looked up at him. "Now, we shop." You let go of his hand as you trotted off to go to the frozen section.

When you arrived back home you naturally left John to carry in all of the groceries. Sherlock hurried up the stairs, you following behind. Sherlock quickly stopped when he entered the flat and you ran into him, catching yourself before you fell backwards.
"What?" You asked as Sherlock raised his eyebrow taking a deep breath. You sniffed as well, smelling what he did. Something slightly sweet, a perfume. He sniffed again and stepped back towards his bedroom, you following behind. He lightly pushed open the door and glanced at you. You sighed seeing Irene Adler fast asleep in Sherlock's bed.
"John, we have a client." Sherlock said calmly as John stumbled through the door with armfuls of groceries.
"In your bedroom?" John questioned, dropping all the groceries in the kitchen before hurrying to see what Sherlock was talking about.
"Oh..." He hummed as he looked over Irene from behind you. You crossed your arms, turning away to leave John and Sherlock to deal with her. Of course she shows up right when you and Sherlock finally realized your feelings towards one another. She did always have the worst timing.
