Her lips mold into a smirk and her eyes sharpen like blades on a sword. "Feisty today, aren't we?" Natalia flirts, her feet gradually moving towards me again. These were the times I wished crazy ex-girlfriends didn't exist. These were the moments I wish I had fully armed bodyguards to restrain people like her. In the distance, both of us hear something cling to the floor. "What was that?" Natalia questions with a bit of suspicion in her tone.

I pay no attention to the sound. All I can think about is the night I got so drunk from drinking that she had to drive me home. Last I checked she's one of the few who knows where I live. Also one of the many people I wish would just walk out of my life for good. My thoughts go back to the sound from before and remember Danni.

The moment my mind comes to this realization, Natalia has already disappeared from my sight. As I look around a little more, my eyes jump from object to object until I find a strand of red hair turning a corner into the kitchen.

God no. I speed over to the kitchen to discover the red-headed girl glaring at Danni. She stretches her back before brushing her fingers through her hair, not realizing who's behind her.

"Who's this?" Natalia's voice comes out an octave too low as she whips her head behind her. Danni turns her body and anchors her eyes to the redhead in front of her. Her eyes skim over Natalia's features and then fly over to search mine. She then glances back over at Natalia who is still staring my way.

"Hi, there?" Danni raises a brow in question if those are the right words to use. Natalia snaps her head back in Danni's direction. I watch as her eyes narrow and she approaches Danni with speed.

"Danni this is Natalia Lundqvist, my ex—"

"His girlfriend," she hollers. I anxiously watch as she raises her hand in the air ready to strike.

"Natalia!" I shout but it's too late. My eyes furrowed as I rush to be by Danni's side until I grasp a better view of the situation.

Danni stops Natalia's slap to the face by blocking her hand with her own. She brings their arms down to the height of their waists, before moving them in an up and down motion.

"Hello, my name's Danielle. It's nice to meet you." She stretches her lips with that sweet smile of hers, firmly holding eye contact with Natalia. Danni continues to shake her hand with confidence.

"Um, what?" Natalia plays along, oblivious to what's happening. "What's going on?"

"I'm introducing myself," Danni responds finally, letting go of the psychopath's hand, "I was Luke's old girlfriend in high school." Oh crap. Natalia's calming eyes disperse as her raging expression slides back onto her face.

"I knew it!" She lifts her foot attempting to kick Danni in the side. Danni dodges the hit. Once Natalia realizes her plan fell through, she goes in for a punch to the face. Danni swiftly steps aside, taking a hold of Natalia's flying fist and pulling it close to her chest. I want to help but I'm too stunned to speak let alone move.

"Natalia, was it? I suggest not attacking a person whom you know absolutely nothing about. If you have something important to say then say it, otherwise, please leave," Danni articulates, her eyes sharp and steady, before slowly unwrapping her fingers from Natalia's wrist.

I continue to idly stand by with shock written in every crevice of my face. Who was she? Speaking with so much assurance and defending herself like some pre-trained karate kid. Every word shooting out of her mouth was filled with such power and clarity. Natalia solemnly lowers her head in defeat to Danni. I hear a grunt spout out from her mouth like a boiling teapot as she takes her leave. "It's over, Luke!" she shouts, passing me by. A moment later, the sound of my front door slamming shut hits our ears.
