"I couldn't be happier when I became friends with you. Just hanging out with you everyday, is such a blessing in my life. I didn't regret any memories that I made with you. The jokes, the laughs, the gossips, the pranks, or just simply talking to you, were all very special to me. You were perfect in my eyes, and nothing will ever change that."

"Which is why I'll say it again. I like you, Y/N. So much that I'm crazy about you...I don't know if my heart can contain my feelings for you anymore...Please...like me back, Y/N"

After she confessed, she gave me the smile that left a mark in me, forever.

Her smile was so sincere, and it also showed pain as tears rolled down her cheeks.

I looked down...I didn't expect any of this...Especially from Jeongyeon.

My mind was completely puzzled, as my feelings were all jumbled up.

I didn't know what to say...or what to respond.

Just as my mouth was about to open, a certain person came into my mind, that stopped me from saying anything to her.

I remembered her expressions, her angelic face, her crazy personality, her funny jokes, and most of all, her perfect smile.

Why did she suddenly pop up inside my head?

I saw an image of her in my mind, and it actually made me happy.

I saw the image of Tzuyu, smiling at me.

That image, made my heart warm and contempt...

And that's when I realized...I'm in love with Tzuyu...and not Jeongyeon...

I then came back to reality, and sadly replied "Jeongyeon...I...I'm so sorry...but..."

Her smile suddenly got torn apart, as her face darkens. She looked down, and suddenly, I saw great pain present on her face.

Her face shows a lot of emotions right now, but the most dominant of them all, is sorrow.

My heart suddenly ached, as I felt bad for not accepting Jeongyeon's confession.

"Is it....because of.....Tzuyu?" Jeongyeon painfully asked, as more tears came out from eyes.

I just turned silent, knowing that she got the answer right.

"That...ughh...well it's not your fault, Y/N. You can't choose who you fall in love with...right?" she said as sorrow can still be seen in her eyes.

"I'm so sorry, Jeongyeon..." I said as I looked down.

She then turned back, and started walking away slowly. She was still sobbing, but she was able to control it now.

But she stopped and she turned around again. Then she slowly walked towards me.

"Hey Y/N....just promise me one thing..."

"Y-yeah?" I asked with a soft voice.

"Promise me...you'll give me a chance when...things don't work out with Tzuyu?"

And then she raises her hand, and cups my cheeks.

I leaned against the palm of her hand.

Her touch, was really warm, as a tear suddenly rolls down my cheek.

"I d-dont't know" I said, as I closed my eyes

"Please, Y/N" Jeongyeon said as she looked at me, with her eyes begging me to say yes...

"O-okay...I promise" I responded as I held her hand that was on my cheek. She wiped the tear on my face, before giving me a painful smile.

I also gave her smile, as she removes her hand from my cheek.

She then turned around, and walked towards the door, pain still present in her heart.

"I hope you'll be happy, Y/N" Jeongyeon whispers as she opened the door, and went down the stairs.

I was left on the rooftop...just dumbfounded about what happened.

Things happened....so fast...

I stood there on the middle, as I cried my heart out, knowing I just lost a good friend of mine...and I wondered what could've been, if I ever said yes to her...

Thoughts ran in my head as I looked into the clouds, where I felt the air brushing against my cheeks, as the wind blew away the tears that came from my eyes.

I'm so sorry, Jeongyeon...but I'm in love with someone else...
