19. fancy suit and tie

"I mean, you're the one that was standing there dumbfounded..." Lance muttered as he headed back into the changing room.

Keith reclaimed his breath before returning to his camera at the front of the room.

About ten minutes later, Lance returned. He wore very very short jean shorts, with a floral v-neck blouse. He had on sandals and a crown of petals that adorned his face perfectly. He looked beautiful.

"Not gonna lie, these sandals hurt like hell. But I'm digging the flower crown." Lance grinned.

Keith sucked in his breath. This beautiful ray of sunshine was going to be the death of him.

By the time Lance's phone announced it was 9 p.m, and the janitor announced it was time for Altea to be locked up, the boys had caught up to the other models when it came to photo shoot deadlines. And they had come out decent too, well enough that Keith could start the portfolio for the party.

As they locked the studio and started for the parking lot, Lance started talking again about being on the runway and the party.

"We're sooo close. And imagine who else will be at the party! Oh my god I get to see you in a suit Keith." Lance laughed.

Keith rolled his eyes. "Okay, and?"

"Mullet in a fancy suit and tie." Lance winked. " I like it. "

Keith chuckled. "Your gonna be in one too."

" Oh righttttt. Dude, we could match! "

As Lance went on about different fashion styles the two came out of the building into the parking lot. The stars were bright above their heads, sparkling against the dark violet contrast of the sky. A heavy breeze lifted the last of the summer heat.

The two departed to their cars, but Lance stopped to call to Keith.

"What?" Keith called back.

" I just wanted to say thanks. I know Allura gave Alfor the recommendation for us but uh, what I said earlier...I think you actually do carry this team. So thanks. For everything. " And of course he added the soft genuine smile.

Keith blushed in the dark. "Yeah. Sure." He said.

Then he slid on his helmet. Enough of that. He wanted to get as far away from Lance as possible. The outfits from today and then that last "thank you" had been enough.

Lance was in his truck, and Keith was starting to pull out of the parking lot when Lance stopped him.

He had ran out into the street to stop Keith from leaving.

"Dude, what?" Keith yelled over the rumbling of his motorcycle.

" My car! She won't start! "

Keith rolled his eyes and inwardly groaned. Who the hell was controlling his life?

"She just won't start all of a sudden?" Keith asked as him and Lance looked under Blue's hood.

Sure enough, the ignition was fried. She wasn't going anywhere.

"I mean, my brother said she was old but-"

"This is great. Just great." Keith crossed his arms. " Let me guess, I've got to drive you home. " he spat.

Lance chuckled nervously. "Well Ubers aren't very safe anymore.. And I will have to get Blue towed." 

Keith glared at him. "Have you ever been on a motorcycle?"

Lance shook his head.

Keith scoffed and passed Lance his extra helmet from his compartment under the seat.

"Just don't scream."

I've been so busy with clubs and basketball and school that I just haven't had time to update anything im sorry TvT so I pulled an all nighter to update a bunch of shit and left this for last so hope it's good enough to make up for it!! I'm gonna update twice tonight for y'all :) to say sorry
