LIY NEEDS MORE STORY AND SCREENTIME I DE M A N D TO KNOW MORE FFS

Wahh I was reading this one StapyxFoldy fanfiction and yknow,, I was kinda expecting Liy as an antagonist and she WAS in the story but she was never relevant??? Like there was this thing where Stapy and Foldy were like "oh Liy is so mean she doesn't have any friends" but then she did have a group of friends and they were like "oh shit??? Okay we need to make friends with our classmates before she does" and I never understood that? But I was kinda excited for some kinda class war between them but IT WAS NEVER BROUGHT UP AGAIN. 

It happens again a second time! Stapy and Foldy dump this nasty shit on Liy's head in response to a rumor she spread in five seconds that isn't even relevant after that chapter, and her reaction is NEVER SHOWN. That was a VALID opportunity to say "oh crap, Liy's a jerk but we hurt her feelings really badly maybe we should put this rivalry to a rest" or maybe generate conflict between Stapy and Foldy because one feels bad for her while the other thinks she deserves it. OR EVEN IT SPARKS LIY'S WRATH AND SHE BECOMES A FULL-BLOWN ANTAGONIST. ANYTHING OTHER THAN NO REACTION AT ALL. SMFH.

And!! And and and, okay the author was probably young at that time so I don't really blame them but there were always so many vague comments to more adult themes like Liy doing "dirty stuff". What is dIRTY STUFF?? BE SPECIFIC?? Murder? Drugs? Gangs? Sex??? Dbldns TELL ME.

There was also mentions of rape like Foldy got kidnapped twice. TWICE. IN THE SAME YEAR. And one of those times she was "raped", but it wasn't really rape, the guy just took off her clothes(even though she was tied up) and kissed her. It's sexual assault, yes, but not rape. And yknow lots of guys and girls made advances on Foldy and Stapy respectively but is that realistic to have so many people lust after a person?? I don't think so? I mean I've grown up in a protected environment so what do I know haha

BUT EVEN SO after a while the author just THROWS in Stapy and Foldy's IMMENSE lust for each other and FOLDY LITERALLY THINKS TO HERSELF that she could rape Stapy. How could you think of sexually assaulting someone when you were sexually assaulted yourself??? Yeah she says she couldn't do that a second later but??? ???? 

And also just,, god, SO much of the story is centered around Stapy and Foldy saving people because it makes them look good. Stapy literally kicked Trophy's ass this one time and EVERYBODY CHEERED?? Sure Trophy is an asshole but are you telling me no one is caring about his well-being? AND THIS HAPPENS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. Foldy and Stapy are either saving someone or beating up someone or protecting each other and eVERYONE is CHEERING for them and then when they do anything remotely romantic everyone's just like "aWW LOOK AT THEM THEY'RE SO CUTE" THEY'RE LITERALLY STRANGERS WHY DO YOU C A RE

Care to let me rant a little more? What even was the first arc of the story? The concept was GOOD. The story really could've gone places with that. INSTEAD, both Stapy and Foldy RUN AWAY FROM HOME because they can't be friends?? You go to the same school and even have ALL the same classes. What's stopping you from talking in school? Homeschool Foldy because she got kidnapped and her parents fear for her safety? VALID SOLUTION. Stapy maybe considers not hanging around with Foldy so much because his being around her is putting her in danger? ABSOLUTELY. I get that they're star-crossed teenage lovers and are prone to irrational decisions! So maybe have them realize what they're doing is stupid and will only get them in more trouble? Maybe let the parents find them and try to get them to understand instead of making parents the villains?? PROMOTE GOOD DECISIONS AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS. IT'S NOT THAT HARD.

But what do I know?? I could be making the same goddamn mistakes. I could be a terrible writer and not even know because of an ego I don't know I have and people who won't call me out on my bullshit because,, I dunno, they're afraid they'll hurt my feelings and/or I'll hate them?

FUCKIN,, CALL ME OUT IF I'M SPOUTING BULLSHIT. HOLD ME TO MY WORDS AND WRITING. If I want to be a good writer I need OUTSIDE OPINIONS AND CRITICISM. My writing is USELESS if it's only fancy wording and sentence structure with NO ACTUAL QUALITY. It's like getting a really nice looking present but there's nothing inside. It's disappointing and I don't want to be disappointing, I want to DELIVER. I want people to read my writing, and have a fucking existential crisis, or change for the better, or have SOME kind of positive impact on them, other than "oh this is a nice story". THAT'S what I'm aiming for.

Is this even the right thing to be asking for?? Or do I just look like a stupid bitch who doesn't know what the fuck she's going on about?? I don't fucking knowwww

God what if the author of that book reads this,, fuck. Why publish this if that fear exists?? Because I want validation and attention??? Literally acting like a bitch right now, shut the fuck up

..okay rant over LMAOOO WHAT EVEN WAS THAT ENTIRE THING- I go from ranting about a bad fanfiction to ranting about my abilities as a writer to lowkey insulting myself??? Kinda sounds like something a self-centered person would do ngl
