Part 21

"Thirty seven minutes." He says and takes a sip of his coffee. Remy speaks up.

"Okay looks like we got some time to kill! V, the guy who's name I forgot and I are going to check out the live music. Bye!" He gets out of his seat  quickly and over to me and Virgil. He grabs us by the arm and pulls us up, causing Virgil to almost spill his coffee all over himself. He glares furiously at Remy.

"Commoner ooonnnnnnnnnnn!" He pulls us away from the table and past all of the food stalls. He finally lets go when we're by the crowd of people near the stage where a musician is playing guitar.

"What the hell Remy! Why did you grab us like that?!" Virgil yells angrilly to the man sipping coffee and leaning against one of the barriers.

"I don't know... I just felt like giving L and your friend some alone time." He says and sips his coffee again.

"That's no reason to grab me! I almost spilled my drink!"

"Sorry V I just thought your friend and Lo are cute together, that's all."

"Wh-what makes you think that?" I say trying to keep my friend's crush a secret as desperately as possible.

"The way he looks at Lo, or when he heard he was gay, or how he perked up when he saw Logan, or-" I cut him off mid sentence.

"Okay we get it!" I say annoyed that three people now know about my friend's secret crush.

"Calm down girl, all I said is that they'd be a cute couple, you don't have to go crazy on me."

"Just... Nevermind.." I say in defeat.

We look around for some free seats to listen to the music properly and find some near the edge of the stage, a few rows from the front.

We listen for a while before Remy gets excited again. Jeez... Now I understand why Virge wanted to get away from him in the first place.

"PARADE TIME BITCHES!" He yells, disturbing the people around us who are just trying to listen to music and relax and Virgil looks at him very annoyed.

"Volume Remy... Please quiet down." He asks quietly.

"NOPE BECAUSE ITS TIME TO GO!" He grabs our arms once again with surprising force becaue I'm guessing he does this a lot.

"Fine! Well come just let go of our arms!" He says trying to get out of the tight grip he has on us.

"Ok whatever you say!" He releases us and Virgil's hand goes straight into his pocket like his other one.

We walk a little until we get to the entrance of the fair because that's where the parade starts. It starts there and goes down Main Street, around two more streets and then stops there, which is good because it's right by the bus stop so we don't have to walk there.

We wait for a bit while people start showing up for the parade.

"Where's Logan and Pat?" I ask and realize that the pair are not in the crowd around us.

"Yeah... I thought they'd be here by now.." Virgil says confused.

I raise my head up high to try and get a good look over the people and after a minute or two I spot them in the distance at a smoothie stall getting drinks. They start walking towards where we are after another minute.

"They're right over there." I say to the two in front of me and gesture in the direction of Lo and Pat.

"Oh ok..." Remy says calmly.

"HEY LO OVER HERE!" He starts shouting and waving his arms wildly in the air, causing Virgil to duck his head in embarrassment. I grab Remy's arm and pull it so he gets the message to stop and Patton and Logan stop beside us.
