"Wh-What...?"

"Please...I really need him."

Reaper knew who he was talking about, "You know I can't Error," Reaper sighed. "It's against the rules, and plus, Ink never had a soul. There's nothing to bring back." He saw Error shaking and glitching until he crashed. He pushed away from a rebooting Error. "We haven't seen you in a while, are you okay?" He asked once Error fully got to his senses.

Error fiddled with the scarf, "M'fine." Error voice mumbled. He stood in silence there for a bit. "I just need time."

"It's been more than a year! You need to move on!" Reaper said loudly, "Time doesn't matter if you are depressed, you need to keep going eventually."

That's the second time Error heard that today and probably the hundredth time he's heard it in all. It just didn't seem right to him. To move on made it seem like he would just forget about it. Like he was leaving a dog on the side of the road.

He pressed his balled up hands down in his jacket. "I'm sorry Error, I really am. If I could, I would a long time ago." He didn't get a response from Error. "If you want, you can always stop by me and Geno's. Goth actually kinda misses you." He chuckled.

Error smiled halfheartedly, the energy seemed seeped out of him. "I will." He let his hands relax. Reaper took his scythe and waved to Error a goodbye. "Tell Goth I said hey."

"Heh, I will." Reaper teleported away. Error looked up and sat down. It's been a while since he was outside the house. He looked up at the stars and smiled softly, kinda sadly. He leaned back with his hands behind his head. Closing his eyes he let himself drift off into sleep.

Error looked around. He saw himself in Outertale. Error seemed to summon Ink with a can of soda. Ink appears and tries to scare Error. Error is unfazed.

Error remembers this. He was seeing something in a spectator's view though.

They talk for a while until Ink asked Error something,

"Error."

"Hm?"

"Why do you like stars?"

"..." Error was silent. "Because they remind me of you."

Ink laughed. "Me?" Ink thought it was funny, maybe a joke. "What about me?"

Error looked at Ink, "You're eyes." Ink smirks.

"Is that you saying that my eyes are..." Ink comically paused before saying the rest really fast, "Out of this world?"

Error tried to stop him, "What? No—"

"Or...that they are stellar?"

"No, I was just saying—"

Ink pushed down his laughter to say another pun, "That they shine like—"

"Shut up Squid!"

Ink looked at him, he was fidgeting with his coat zipper and a small blush formed of his face. He looked past Ink at the stars again, "Error...why are you blushing?" He asked inspecting Error's face closer.

Ink saw Error tense up a little at that question, immediately. "Just forget about it Squid. That shouldn't be hard for you anyways." He chuckled.

Ink got close, making Error jump and blush even harder, "Oh. I know what's going on here." Suddenly, in Error's surprise, he started laughing. "You like me, don't you Glitchy?" He said between laughs. "Ha! Look at you! In love! With a soulless being! As if this was working!" Error glitched, taking Ink's laughter as insults, "You know I can't do this. Love." He brought his hand up to his vials, "I can't love you like you do."
