Chapter 3: Malkali!

Start from the beginning

"AHHH CHICKEN CHILDREN!" Orun screamed before realising what happened. "OH HEY LIANA!" He shouted grinning at the girl on his stomach.

I sweatdropped at the two maniacs. Goosebumps grew on my skin as Grernol turned his attention towards me.

"Now Miss Royal, could you go place the cards in the cell? Make sure the bars are sea stone enforced to make sure none of their crew can get to them"

I nod my head and begin walking across the stone floor. Beneath was a lot of gears and circuits so the tournaments could really 'come alive'. The stadium was rather large, it consisted of bright colours and strange patterns. There was the main seating on the second floor which surrounded the stone However one the third floor (where the staff usually are) was a large throne. It was laced in pure gold and had a green silk cushion. That would be where Grernol would sit. He got to see everything which was happening and was in complete control. On one of the thrones arms was a mechanism which allowed him to control the entire stadium. Currently there was only a few curved bars covering the top of the stadium, this can change.

I sighed as I made it towards the far left wall. I trace my finger against it. Once I found a strange indent in the wall, I pressed it. Gears start spinning as a hidden door is revealed. When it was open enough for me to enter, I extended my naked leg forward. My heels clicked against the change in material, now a hard white marble. The room was dimly lit, the only thing inside was stairs leading towards the third floor. I begin to head up the steep stairs, careful not to slip due to the slimness on each step.

My e y e turns to look at the scarred wall. Blood spatters stained the once cream wallpaper. Signs of struggle was at every inch. A horrid battle took place here, a very one-sided one. I turn my head back forward, not wanting to lose focus. My stomach ached in pain. The constant movement causing strain on the heavily bruised skin. I winced as it worsened but I couldn't stop. After minutes of pain, I finally made it to the top. A breath of exhaustion left my blood-red lips.

I took a moment to catch my breath, feeling a line of sweat fall of my face. My lips formed a thin line as I continued down the hallway. To my right was the open bars allowing me to see the field. Orun and Liana were still goofing off together while Grernol laughed at their exchange. A shiver ran down my spine as I turned my glance to 'Boots'. He glared at me emotionlessly. My heart rate raised quickly, fear shot through me like a bullet. His whole stance was terrifying, it's as if he knew everything I was thinking.

I harshly turned my head away and hurried my pace ignoring the screams of pain it was giving me. I finally came across the cell. It was heavily barred but was well lite. I put my hand against the bar and my legs instantly gave up on me. All my strength faded and I let out a gasp of pain.

"Yep, definitely sea stone" I muttered letting go of the bars. I slowly got up and brushed the dust which gathered on me. I turned my head to the left and saw the key to the cage hanging. I quickly grabbed it and unlocked the cage, avoiding touching the bars. Using the key, I pushed the door open. In the cell were a damaged bench and 4 chains with handcuffs on the end. They were attached to the wall to ensure the prisoners couldn't escape. Just at the top of the bars was a screen, allowing them to watch what was happening on the field. Stepping in, my hand dived into my inner pocket to grab the cards. 4 Jack of the Clubs glimmered in the light. I walk over to the oak bench and place them on it. Just when I was about to leave something caught my e y e. I instantly grabbed it as a plan floated into my mind.

My heels clicked loudly as I left the cell, returning to the marble floor. I grabbed the key and pulled it, shutting the door without touching the metal. I pulled the key out and left it in my hand to give it to 'Boots'.
