[14:27:23] OMWH-02: Echo is the last remaining team that's been sent in and we've lost contact. The official number of SCP's loose is unknown but from reports it is known to be tremendously high. Gate-B appears to have already been breached by an unknown SCP. Requesting permission to launch the Omega Warhead.

[14:29:06] C: Give the team ten more minutes at least. We'll direct them to leave, and the guards at the shelters will be directed to evacuate the personnel. Contact again when you're ready when we've given the affirmative that all is clear.

[15:13:57] C: All clear.

I recalled the groups of researchers that had run past me before, and why it was the only reason I had managed to run into Miles in the first place. I also recalled the group of NTF we had encountered right before 035. I presumed they were Echo. I then remembered I had just come out of a nap earlier as well.

"This happened only hours ago..." I murmured, then glancing at the body before looking over at 049. "Do you know how to check how long someone's been dead?"

The anomaly paused in what he was doing, freezing in place as he geared his eyes over to the corpse. "Erm..." Slowly, he approached it before kneeling down. He was silent for a long moment before looking up at me. "The blood appears to be fresh. Not yet dried."

   "Helpful."

"If you may recall, I'm six hundred years old."

A chuckle left me as I returned my attention to the monitor, slipping myself into the rolling chair in front of it. "I know, I know..." So he's only died recently.

049 stood from where he was next to the carcass and began to approach me, seemingly reading all of the text I had already gone over. I was still where I was, hands resting on the keyboard before me as I stared at the screen.

I hadn't wanted to mess things up, so I was attempting to come up with an excuse as to why the NTF would have taken so long to get back to them. I read over what the NTF individual had said over and over again, wanting to mimic their typing as much as possible.

[18:09:17] OMWH-02: SCP-106 had took me. I managed to get out and I'm on my last limb. Do you read? I need 05 permission.

Anxiously, I sat there and stared at the screen, waiting for a response. I mean, it wouldn't be completely lying, right?

[18:09:48] C: Get it done.

I silently cheered that my bluff worked as a new screen popped up on one of the other monitors. Immediately, I honed in on that monitor, reading over everything that was there. I had no idea what I was doing.

"What's all this?" The doctor inquired from behind me.

Guess I'm not the only one lost. "Uh..." I swivelled a bit in the chair as I pushed it back and past 049, gearing my way on over towards the table with all of the papers on it. "Not a clue."

Taking up one of the ones I hadn't read, I began to file through all of them as quickly as I could, trying to find anything that looked like instructions.

"Could I, perhaps, be of any help?" He came again.

Without looking away from the paper I was staring at, I brought a few more unread pages his way. "See if you can find any instructions in these."

It was only what seemed like a minute of skimming through papers did I hear him once more. "Is this what you're looking for, perhaps?"

Turning away from what I was reading, I retrieved the paper he was holding in a careful manner to avoid his gloved hand. Looking at the words, he directed me to the section he was referring to with a single finger. "Here."
