Connie and Julie looked at each other and had a short silent conversation, both nodding their heads after. They were pleasantly surprised at the fact that Octavia began warming up to them, and were sure to talk to Adam about it, suspecting that he was for sure a part of it. The duo had seen how much time they had been spending with each other and knew that something was there. "Yeah," Connie accepted. "Sounds like fun."
The group of five ended up all separating and going to different places, then meeting up and eating off of each others plates. Octavia ended up having so much sesame chicken that she started to feel sick to her stomach. They sat there for who knows how long, swapping stories and laughing about god knows what. It was nice, the three girls had only ever really conserved among themselves, so it was pretty cool to get some other stories and stuff in their small group.
Connie and Julie were surprised to find out that Octavia was Hans' granddaughter. They had never even known that he had family that lived so close, but then again, they hadn't really known all that much about him.
"Ok," Connie said, grabbing everyone's attention away from the previous conversation they just finished up. "I have been putting it off for long enough, but Octavia, what is the deal with you and Banks?"
"Adam?" Octavia questioned. "There's nothing going on." Behind the wall of denial she put up, Octavia was blushing like a madman. Memories of him giving her his jacket from the other night resurfaced, and she kept trying to push them back down.
"Oh come on," Shelly groaned. "We all saw the little love fest that went on in the cafeteria on friday. He clearly likes you, and you clearly like him."
"Shut up no he does not. Besides, we've only known each other for a few days."
"Uh," Connie looked at the girl like she was crazy, "It doesn't take a rocket scientist to find out that he has been crushing on you since you gave us that tour on our first day. He looked at you like you invented hockey for goodness sakes." Octavia scoffed at the accusation, making Connie lean forward towards her. "I have known Adam for a long time now, and he has never looked at anyone like he has you. He's been whipped after the 'few days' he's known you."
"No he's not, we're just friends." Octavia could deny it all she wants, but there would always be a little part of her deep down that thinks that he's cute, and wants to believe what Connie is saying.

When Octavia walked into the arena for the junior varsity game, she was shocked at how many people came to watch their game. In the years prior, of course there were people there, but they were less filled and crowded. She was pleased at how many students wanted to support their new classmates. Or maybe they came to heckle them, Octavia didn't know, and at this point, she didn't really care anymore. She came to support her newfound friends, and that's what she's going to do.
When the cool air hit her, she pulled her jacket closer around her body and zipped it up, gripping a second jacket in her hands at the same time. Although she has been in a hockey arena thousands of times, it always seemed to get colder.
Jenny and Shelly had gotten there before her and taken their seats, saving one for Octavia. Her eyes scanned the bleachers surrounding the rink looking for her friends, and then found him. He wore some warrior sweatshirt and sat surrounded by them. And by them she means Rick and his boys, and the cheerleaders. The same ones that can't actually do stunts and just stand around whipping their hair and arms back and forth. Then she saw a girl practically hanging off of him and his every word. Octavia mentally gagged when she saw the girls lovestruck eyes staring at him.
