Okay hi as of now I have been drawing for an hour or so, trying to make a human design for Tree
Here is the process:

Concept. No references whatsoever. It's not THAT great, but it's a start.
Now usually when I think of humanizations, I take inspiration from other people's ideas because a lot of humanizations look good for a reason. I consult the internet, and find lots of people make Tree's hair curly or angular. Makes sense. Here's attempt two.

That just looks like bad bedhead. But we're getting a little bit closer to a good design. Looks like curly isn't working that well. Time to try angular hair. Attempt three.

...no. not even close. Time to consult the Internet again. As it turns out, most people draw Tree with hair that generally goes up. That makes more sense. Attempt four.

Getting somewhere! But still not quite yet. The mix of angular and curly could work well, but this doesn't really feel...Tree, yknow? It's gotta have a certain feel to it. Tree is intelligent, sophisticated, but also kind of a dumbass. I imagine him with a more defined contour, and probably the beginnings of a beard. The drawings above are good, but aren't right.
I consult the Internet once more, but this time I look at actual haircuts. Then,I find a picture that looks almost EXACTLY what I imagine, so I kinda copy it and throw in a few changes. Attempt five.

Thank you, random picture of a person. So here is the facial design. Now, I have to keep up this level of quality when I draw, since I don't usually draw this way. I also have to see if this design holds up. Time to practice more. This whole thing was to practice drawing things other than the head, anyway.

Okay neat! I guess this is how I draw human Tree from now on :) I'll try to improve Liy and Foldy next,probably.
