Chapter 4 - Little Things

            “Hazza1 I told you they’d be snogging!” Niall recovered from his shock and yelled down the stairs.

            “They’re not the only ones!” I heard Harry call back and I choked out a laugh as I clung onto Liam’s neck.

            “Well we better go before Louis chews Maggie’s face off!” I said to Liam and Harry.

            “True but that’s not who I was talking about.” Harry called up and I felt my heart drop to my stomach. My mind searched for an invisible couple, maybe Wendy and Peter Pan or Harry was speaking while kissing Penelope, but nothing came to mind other than Zayn and Faith. I kept a smile plastered on my face but I could tell Liam could read right through it.

            “So, um, shall we go?” I asked trying to break the awkward silence.

            “Sure,” Liam cleared his throat and offered his hand. I took it and intertwined our fingers.

            “Just remember,” I quickly kissed his cheek and he nodded. He leaned in for another kiss but lost his footing on the stairs and tumbled down them, dragging me with him. I was just glad they were carpeted steps.

            “You tease,” he laughed once we stopped tumbling and were lying on the ground.

            “Hey, I'm just glad to know you’re falling for me.” I leaned over his body and kissed him quickly.

            “Come on you losers,” I heard Faith call in a high-pitched voice and I rolled my eyes. I stood up and immediately felt the bruises forming all over my torso and legs.

            “Yup, that’s gunna hurt in the morning,” Liam remarked as he stood up making me laugh.

            “Where does it hurt?” I said pouting out my lips seductively.

            “I’ll show you tonight,” he winked and I took in a sharp intake of breath.

            “And you call me the tease.” I laughed and he shrugged. We made our way over to the other house where everybody was already set up.

            “Took you two long enough,” Louis said as soon as Liam and I were inside.

            “Oh like you and Maggie didn’t enjoy that time,” I shot at him with a wink.

            “Frisky, I like it.” Louis said in a gayer than gay voice which made me crack up laughing.

            “Yeah me too, but you have your own.” Liam put his arm protectively around me. I knew Louis was joking but I loved when Liam went all Alpha Male.

            “What’s up guys,” I walked over to the couch and sat down with Liam next to me.

            “Niall brought his guitar so we thought we’d sing you girls a little ‘different’ version of one of our songs.” Harry winked making my eyes widen. The last time the guys had performed a ‘different’ version of their song Live While We’re Young it ended up being like a strip tease.

            “Oh God, what song this time?” Maggie asked warily.

            “Little Things,” Zayn answered and I nodded. It was one of my favorite songs from their new album. I could tell it was written by Ed Sheeran from the moment I heard the word “freckle”. Niall started strumming out a soft melody and Zayn took in a breath preparing to sing. It was probably one of their only songs Liam didn’t start but I liked it.
