"C'mon Kakashi... Pwease" she said blinking twice, trying to make him give in.
But instead, he only chuckled lightly like he never did with anybody else. 'Maybe she could...' he thought to himself, but in the end, he ended up denying again.
"Okay..." she sighed sounding sad so he'd pity her, only making him smile wider,
(Y/n) stood up and took the breakfast dishes to the sink, cleaning them while Kakashi resumed his reading. After everything was cleaned up she grabbed an empty scroll and laid it on top of the table, catching Kakashi's attention as he observed her every movement.
"Okay, about the infiltration plan" she said, kneeling across Kakashi as she got a brush and started mapping out what they had seen last night.
"There were more guards here" Kakashi said tapping one specific place of the map as she finished drawing. She tilted her face and inspected the zone.
"Mmh... Are you sure? I think there was one there and 4 over here" she said disagreeing.
"I am" he stood his ground "We came from here" he said pointing at a specific point "Walked around here, and they were here"
(Y/n) tilted her head, trying to picture what Kakashi was saying. She stood up and moved to his side, kneeling next to him to see it from his perspective while he looked at her thoroughly.
"Oh, you're right" she admitted without the slightest problem, leaning on the table to correct the map.
After that, they kept on drawing all the guards and entrances they saw so they could, later on, make a plan. After (Y/n) had changed her seat next to Kakashi she decided to stay there, especially while she was still finishing the map and he just supervised her and what she was drawing.
Kakashi was sitting normally, his left leg bent slightly while his arm rested on top of his knee, and his other arm supported his weight. Actually, the arm he used to support himself had been left behind (Y/n)'s body. Slightly touching her but not purposely, although neither of them moved away. In fact, once they had begun talking about the possible plans (Y/n)'s hand was also put near his. It was a temptation to both the fact of having to hold themselves back and not intertwine their fingers together, but above their rising feelings, they were professional shinobis that knew this was an important mission, so they responsibly put those thoughts aside until later.
After having planned the mission (Y/n) folded the scroll and kept it away so she could burn it later. Right after that, Kakashi took his book out and kept reading, and (Y/n) decided to copy him. She walked closer to the doors that led to the garden and stopped before them.
"Is it okay if I open them?" she asked, thinking that maybe the sound of rain or breeze could bother him.
He nodded without averting his eyes from his book and she opened the door. Sitting in front of the now opened porch. She sat there, watching the raindrops fall on the pond, making different patterns as well as a different sound that was still as calming. She breathed in, feeling refreshed and inhaling the humid scent of wet nature. She took her book out and started reading her novel as well.
They spent a couple of hours like that, both of them engrossed in their books in the tranquilizing atmosphere that the rain created. Until there was a soft knock at the door. As Kakashi was closer to it he stood up and opened it, meeting with the old man that owned the inn.
"Hello" he greeted Kakashi with a smile similar to his closed-eye one, but that was no match for the silverette "My wife and I made this" he said extending a tray with a steaming pot of tea and some pastries "It's perfect for rainy days"
