Following that was a rush of footsteps so Ximen knew that it was not a lie. She cursed under her breath then quickly put down the chopsticks and rushed to jump out of the window.

Once Su Ze arrived, all he saw was the back of a small figure rushed out through the window so he quickly gave a chase.

Wan Yu leisurely looked at their direction with hands clasped behind his back. He only turned to look at another direction once he heard familiar footsteps coming his way.

Liu Xun paused upon seeing him. Thinking of something he quickly looked inside the kitchen only to see that no one was inside.

He tentatively asked,’’Did you see anyone?’’

Wan Yu bluntly said,’’What did she came here for? And did you forget what I told you not long ago?’’

Hearing the interrogating tone, Liu Xun thoughtfully looked at him.

I just met with your little wife behind your back and you already started to be dissatisfied with me?

Nevertheless, he still explained,’’She came to give me a gift for helping her the other day so I let her stay behind for dinner.’’

‘’Where is the gift?’’

You even want to snatch away the gift?!

Hearing this, Wan Yu’s expression slightly loosened and casually asked,’’What did she give you?’’

Liu Xun was confused about what they were talking about so he asked,’’What happen?’’

Su Ze replied,’’A thief came to steal the food.’’

Liu Xun,’’……’’

He turned to look at the boy and immediately met with an innocent face.

Maybe he read too much and this guy just purely hates the female lead?

Well…They say that boys like to play pranks on the girls that they like.
