Chapter 117, Mithus Kothari

" I'm listening. Very unwillingly, but alas." Mithus laughed. Keep it cool, y/n. Do not blast the brain's of this arrogant fool. I took deep breaths, he was really getting on my nerves with his childish behavior in this situation, but what else could I expect from Kothari?

" I need a ship." I said doubtfully. Negotiations had never been my forte, because I'd never done them. I just hoped it was similar to discussing bounties when I used to be the Crimson Hunter. 

" Good for you." Mithus replied, looking at his cup.

I rolled my eyes and stepped closer to him, so I was at arm reach, and pointed the blaster at the side of his head, the metal tip against his temple. " Don't try to act all brave and smart, Kothari. It will cost you." I spat.

" I'm sorry: you come here expecting what? Me to freely give you a star destroyer or something? You're out of your mind, lass." He joked sarcastically. " I would stop horse playing if I were you. I have the upper hand, and the weapon. I'd recommend shutting the hell up and listening." I told him. 

" You may have the blaster in hand, but I can tell you know nothing about all this negotiation business." He snickered. " So, I'll tell you what, Lass: One key lesson in this business you should know."

I furrowed my eyebrows. " Are you really going to lectur-" I began saying, when Mithus suddenly jumped off his desk, hurling his elbow into my stomach. I stumbled back and released air, realizing I didn't have the cold blaster in my hand anymore.

What the- how did he do that? He moved so fast, I didn't have time to think. I told myself, catching my breath as something slammed my side, pushing me against the rusty wall. 

When I opened my eyes after wincing from the blow, I saw Mithus had me pinned against the wall, his arm pressed against my neck, making it difficult for me to breathe and not allowing me to move. The blaster that I had not too long ago was now pointed at me the same way I had pointed it towards Mithus. I could feel the cold metal against my forehead. 

" Lesson one: You never, ever have the upper hand against me. Big amateur mistake." Mithus sneered with pure evil and cockiness in his eyes. 

I turned my head to the side, he was too close for comfort, to the point when I could smell his breath that reeked of alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Is he drunk? I pondered. How the hell could he have caught me off guard if he wasn't sober?

" What is it, Lass? Not as confident and brave, huh?" He asked, pushing the barrel of the blaster against my forehead more than it already was. " Now you answer my questions, aye?"

I rolled my eyes and remained quiet, trying to sound as unaffected as possible, but inside, I was frightened. All the time I had been the Crimson Hunter, I had seen the reckless things Mithus had done, and I knew he wasn't sane. 

" Acting all tough, are we now? Your eyes give you away, 'old friend'. I can see the fear in them." Mithus said. 

Think of a plan, y/n. I need time to think... I need more time. I took in a deep breath and turned to look at Mithus, trying to block out any fear in my eyes like he had said he could see. " I've got no idea what you're talking about, Mithus. This is quite a fun reunion. I had expected a lot worse from a crime lord like yourself. But oh well." I shrugged. 

" Would shooting you to death reach your expectations?" He laughed, putting his finger on the trigger. 

My heart was about to beat out of my chest. I was frightened, now more than ever. I still had no idea how I was going to free myself from this one, and get a ship on the way, but I had to try, I couldn't give up so close to my objective. 

" Well? Your silence answers my questions, lass." Mithus said. 

I furrowed my eyebrows and forced a devilish smile on my face. I had came up with another dumb idea, but dumb ideas had gotten me this far, so I'd give it a shot, plus, time was running out for me. " Oh, my poor Mithus. It's my time to lecture you." I snickered, imitating him. " Lesson one: you're not the only one with an ace up their sleeve."

I hope you guys will spend a marvelous time with your family, and will stay safe. But for those with different religions, or no religion at all, I still hope you are all spending a beautiful day!!! (As an Atheist, I personally use Easter as an excuse to eat too much chocolate, lol)

Here's the (maybe?) long awaited chapter 117! I apologize for not updating sooner, to be honest, I had forgotten I had the draft of the chapter... Whoopsies. 

I am feeling better, thankfully I do not feel ill anymore, so I'll be more active!!! Except online school starts tomorrow again, but I'll make more time for my stories c:
