Once you heard the door to the flat close below you, you returned your search in the kitchen for a bottle of wine. Midway through your search you heard a soft knock on the door followed by Mrs. Hudson's classic greeting as she entered the flat. You looked around the corner of the kitchen to see her carrying a small tray.
"Mrs. Hudson! You know me too well!" You grinned seeing she'd brought up a bottle of wine. She gave you a cheeky grin as she sat the tray on the table, pouring you a glass.
"I know the boys would be out and you haven't had a night to yourself!" You smiled thankfully at her as you took the wine outstretched in her hand and she left you the bottle, going back downstairs to her flat. Mrs. Hudson was always good at knowing just what you needed, you weren't entirely sure how she did it sometimes. It was rather scary.
You happily sipped the wine, getting cozy on the couch as you watched some of your favorite documentaries and tv shows. The flat was peaceful for once in who knows how long. You were able to just relax and do whatever you wanted for once.
You ended the night with a relaxing bubble bath that was ruined when you heard the flat's door slamming open and two people literally falling through the door. You sighed. They hadn't even lasted two hours. Lightweights... you sighed drying off and throwing on a robe before you scanned the bottom of the stairs. Lying there was Sherlock and John side by side, mumbling quietly to each other. Both incredibly drunk.
"You've got to be kidding me. You went to all that trouble to get a drinking intake plan to be gone for two hours? I hope you both had a great time." You sighed. They shot up, scanning around until Sherlock spotted you at the midway point on the stairs. As he looked up at you he slid down a step, looking discombobulated.
"Great time." Sherlock repeated, leaning back into the staircase.
You shook your head at the two of them, leaving them at the bottom of the stairs. Slowly, but surely they somehow made it back into the flat, stumbling around and laughing at each other the whole way.
"Y/n! Y/nnnn!" Sherlock giggled from his spot at his chair. You prepared yourself for the worst as you looked up at him.
"Yes, Sherlock?"
"Me and John- John and me, I... we want a game." He nodded seriously. For heaven's sake... you thought, closing your eyes for a moment. You took a deep breath before you looked back up at him.
"You want a game?" You questioned. He nodded, his eyes partly closed. He was completely wasted.
"A play?" He tried as if you hadn't understood him the first time. You face palmed shaking your head at the pair of them. Whatever kept them busy... You sighed, setting them up to play a guessing game. You got them little pieces of paper, then wrote names on them, taping them to their foreheads. This would take them all night. John's card said, 'Madonna' while Sherlock's said, "Sherlock Holmes". If you were lucky, they'd black out before the game ever ended.
"Mmm, am I a vegetable?" John questioned, his head bobbing around as he looked across at Sherlock sitting in his chair. You couldn't help but laugh slightly at their actions. You'd never seen either of them like this. You left them to their own devices for a bit before you came back, seeing John with a glass of whiskey in his hand.
"John!" You scolded, taking it away. You didn't want to ruin his fun, but if he drank anymore you were sure he'd go into liver failure.
"Oi, that's mine." He slurred, taking one lazy swipe for his cup before giving up, much too tired to try again. You dumped the drink down the sink, putting the rest of the liquor where neither John nor Sherlock would look.
