"Wait! Joseph!" Too late, he already teleported.

I touched my lips that he kissed earlied. Joseph kissed me. THE Joseph Desaulnier, the Joseph that I'm in love with. He kissed me. I mean, I am happy, but something doesn't feel right. Especially the expression he made earlier. Joseph, are you okay?

Trying to brush off the thoughts, I continued decoding and popped the cipher. Siren rang across the map.

"FOLLOW ME" I heard Tracy shout from one of the exit gates.

I went to the exit gate. Eli and Naib were waiting meanwhile Tracy is entering the password.

"You kited Joseph last second huh, he didn't hit anyone during this whole match" Naib crossed his arms.

Yeah, 'kited'.

"But I wonder what happened. I did saw him earlier, but he didn't chase me nor giving signs that he's friendly" Eli said as he's petting his owl.

"Well, at least it's an easy win for us" Naib shrugged.

"The exit gate is opened everyone" Tracy informed us.

"Okay, let's get the fuck out from this place" Naib along with Eli and Tracy, walked out of the exit gate.

But I'm still standing, looking down. I'm really worried about Joseph, he's not being his usual self. If he's sick he can easily surrender early game, but he didn't. He's also the type who spends his time with the survivors if he is indeed friendly. Something is definitely wrong with him.

You know what? Screw it, Imma look for Joseph.

"(y/n), come on" Tracy called me from outside the gate.

"Sorry, you guys can go first. I'm going to look for Joseph"

I ran back inside the map, leaving my three teammates as I heard Tracy called my name. Sorry guys, I'm too worried about Joseph. I have to look for him. I searched every edge of the map, looking for signs of Joseph. But the map is really quiet, almost like there's no living thing in it. Maybe Joseph already left?

No, he hasn't left. Going near the shed, I felt my heart started beating. The closer I get, the stronger the heartbeats are. Joseph is in here. I entered the shed, there's no one inside. But there's a basement though, maybe he went to the basement? In jumped down to the basement and sure enough, my heartbeats are getting stronger.

Not only my heartbeats are getting stronger, I also heard pants and heavy breaths. I peeked into the basement and there he is. Joseph, his back leaning onto the wall. He looks he's so weak and couldn't stand. His face flushed red and his breathing is heavy and unstable. I immediately rushed over at his side.

"Joseph! Joseph can you hear me!?" I supported him so that he could stand up.

"Hahhh..(y-y/n)?"

"Are you okay!? Let me help you--

"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" Joseph harshly pushed me away. As if he didn't want me to touch him.

"Joseph...? Hey... What's wrong?" I asked, this time keeping my distance from the hunter.

"I-I'm sorry (y/n), but you should leave now. Or else I'm gonna lose control over myself. Ahhhh this is why I kinda hate wearing this skin" Joseph panted as he fanned his neck again.

Lose control? Face flushed red? Body feels hot? In his Moonlight Gentleman skin? Don't tell me he's in heat?

"Joseph, are you...in heat right now?" I get a step closer to him.

"W-wait (y/n)! Don't come any closer, my rationality is a bit fuzzy right now"

"So you are in heat" I came closer towards him and cupped his cheeks with my hand. His cheeks are hot and flushed red.
