~ Truth or Dare ~

Start from the beginning

"What exactly are we doing in here?" She asked him, trying to keep her voice from shaking.

"Well, if we were normal people, we'd make out and do other stuff. But you're..." he paused, looking for the right word, "...you, so we're talking instead."

"Oh." He was definitely drunk than she thought he was.

They stood in silence for a few minutes. Ahsoka couldn't help but think about the way his body felt up against hers. She did her best to keep her breath even, but it was hard when they were so close. Just one small tilt of her head and maybe...

"Sorry about that girl in there," Lux said. "She was kinda pretty though. But you're prettier, obviously." It was a good thing it was dark so he couldn't see her blush. "I dreamed 'bout you last night. Good dream," he slurred. He slipped his hand up her thigh to rest under the hem of her skirt.

"Um, okay, we're leaving after this." What was he thinking? Clearly he wasn't thinking anything.

"No, 'Soka, I don't wanna go. We didn't get to go swimming in the pool or go outside and dance," he pouted.

She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I know, Lux. And I think if you were sober you'd be perfectly okay with that."

"Will you go skinny dipping with me at home then?"

He would be absolutely horrified if he could hear himself right now. "You know what, sure, if that means we can leave after this."

"Okay. Deal." She felt him lace his fingers in hers. "We've held hands before, but it was because you were rescuing me. I need rescuing a lot."

Ahsoka laughed. "Yeah, you got that one right."

"It's a shame you couldn't rescue Steela, though. She was pretty, too."

Steela's death was in the back of her mind every day. She could've tried harder or been more aware of her surroundings. Then, maybe Steela would still be alive. It was her fault Steela had died, and it haunted her still.

"It wasn't your fault, 'Soka. You can't always save everyone."

"I appreciate that, Lux. But it was my fault."

"No. She knew she could die from the beginning. I should say sorry. I liked Steela, but I was doing it to make you sad. I was a bad friend. I'm sorry. I'd rather kiss you than her, anyway."

What was that supposed to mean? Of course she would've rather he kissed her too, but she's a Jedi. He knows that she's off limits. At this point, though, why did it matter? He wasn't going to remember any of this, anyway. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze and lightly kissed his cheek. "I forgive you."

Even though it was dark, she could faintly see the stupid, giddy grin plastered across his face. "You should do that again, but for real," he said.

Why the kriff not? She inched her face closer to his, hesitating a moment. Just as she was about to close the distance, there was a knock at the door, snapping Ahsoka back to reality.

"You guys decent?" Chaz said from the other side.

Ahsoka opened the door and felt a rush of air. It had been too hot in that closet. "Yeah, we're fine. I think it's time we go, though."

As if it were planned, Lux bent over and vomited all over Ahsoka's boots.

She sighed. Perfect.

"Yeah, okay, that's probably a good idea," Chaz said. "I'll go grab you a pair of my sister's slippers. You should probably take him to the 'fresher before he pukes again."
