"Y/n..? What's going on?" He muttered groggily.
"No time! Get up!" I yelled over the thunder. He jumped up and grabbed his bag. Everyone was grabbing their stuff when Minho spoke up.
"Everyone to that building! Hurry up, shanks!" He yelled as everyone took off to the building. It was pretty close, maybe twenty minutes if we were walking. But with everyone sprinting for their lives, it was only a few minutes.
The wind started picking up, shooting sand into the air and making our clothes whip around. The sand scratched at my face as I ran.
I glanced around and saw Finnick running behind Chuck, making sure he didn't fall behind. I looked over and saw Newt running next to me, his limp slowing him down a bit.
I noticed how he began falling back, so I grabbed his hand and squeezed it reassuringly.
"We're almost there!" I yelled. I watched through the sand and wind as lightning struck nearby, way too close for comfort. I ran faster, watching as Aris threw the door open and ran inside. He helped Chuck inside, followed by Finnick. I pushed Newt through the door and helped Fry through it too. I helped Teresa through and stood in the door frame, looking into the sand.
"Is that everyone?" Finnick called out.
"No, where's Thom-" I was cut off by a bright flash of light, a boom of thunder, and a load yell.
My stomach dropped.
"Thomas!" I yelled as I ran out into the sand. I heard someone running out behind me, but I didn't look to see who it was.
I ran in the direction of the lightning and found Thomas dragging a body. There was smoke coming from the body, and the clothes were charred black at the ends.
"Minho!" I yelled as I ran forward. I put one of his arms over my shoulder and helped Thomas drag him to the building.
Lightning flashed nearby, knocking us off our feet. I scrambled up and grabbed Minho again. I saw Finnick help Thomas up and grab Minho's other arm. Thomas rushed forward and pushed everyone out of the way of the door as Finnick and I dragged Minho inside.
We dropped to the ground and rolled him onto his back.
"Minho?" I called out to him. His eyes were closed, and his chest wasn't moving.
I reached my finger up to his neck and pressed down gently, checking for a pulse.
"He has no pulse," I said as I leaned my ear on his chest. "He isn't breathing!"
I heard a few gasps and saw everyone starting to panic. I immediately pinched his nose and leaned down. I pressed my mouth to his and forced air into his lungs. Then I started compressions, trying desperately to bring him back, tears streaming down my face.
I went back and forth between the two. I forced the air into his mouth and went back to compressions again."Come on, Minho... we've gotten this far..." I muttered quietly as I did CPR.
After another minute or two, Frypan groaned in frustration and bent down in front of me.
"Watch out Y/n," he commanded.
I looked at him quizzically and moved back, stopping my compressions. He looked up at Minho and let out a yell, then he brought his fist slamming down onto Minho's chest.
Minho shot up with a gasp, and I sighed in relief while everyone visibly relaxed.
"You alright there, Minho?" Newt asked as he stepped forward. He set a comforting hand on Minho's shoulder as he looked up at him.
