The Request

"University of West GA."His eyes widened and he looked at his mom and quickly threw a glimpse at Drake.

"That's where I go too. I need to find him when I get back to school!" He exclaimed as he smiled broadly at me.

"Wow that's nice,at least you would have a new friend." Elena said as she ruffled the waves on Khalil's hair.

"Could someone help me with the dishes ?" Drake said with his attention on the pancake that was ready to be flipped.

I stood up from where I sat and walked towards the side of the sink where some of the dishes were arranged. I took out four dishes and placed them on the counter.

"Thanks ." He said as he turned some of the pancakes into some of the dishes then I realized that I didn't include James' dish.

"Oops I forgot about James." I said as I paced towards the sink to get a dish.

"Oh that's really thoughtful of you ." Elena commended me with a smile of pride as she nodded at me. I smiled back at her as I placed the dish on the counter.

"Hey Khalil why don't you go call James." Drake said as he turned the last pancake into the dish I just brought.

"Well done son." Elena said as she got up from where she sat. Drake nodded as he smiled at his mom.

"Why are you staring ?" He asked me with a smirk as he returned the pan into the sink.

"What are you talking about ?" I gave him a clueless look as he walked towards me.

"You've been staring at me since you came into the kitchen,is it because of this ?" He gestured at his bare chest which made me chuckle.

"Okay enough love birds, Skai come help me with the tea." Elena said as she gestured me to come over to where she stood.

As soon as Khalil was back with James we all started to eat our breakfast,we talked and laughed at some remarks Khalil made as we ate.

In no time,we were all done with breakfast and I decided to do the dishes since I couldn't help out in cooking.

"James,I have this really cool game upstairs and you have to play this with me."Khalil said as he dropped his dish in the sink where I was washing the other dishes.

"Okay but I have to warn you,you might be a sore loser." He chuckled as he stood up from his stool.

"Let's see about that." Khalil smirked as he paced out of the kitchen with James trailing behind him as they went upstairs.

"Mom,I need to take a nap because someone took over my bed and made me sleep uncomfortably on the couch." I could feel Drake's eyes boring holes into my back as he spoke.

Elena chuckled as she pushed her dish forward while she sipped her tea. Drake took her dish and brought it to where I was.

He stood behind me and leaned closer making his bare chest lean against my back, it's obvious he knew what he did it intentionally.

"Thanks for doing the dishes." He winked at me as he dropped it into the sink that was full of lather.

"Just get your body off my back." I shook my head at him as I hit him in his lower abdomen with my elbow.

He groaned and at the same he chuckled as he walked out of the kitchen. I washed all the dishes and rinsed them.

"Thanks Skai, you're genuinely thoughtful" Elena complimented me as I arranged the dishes on the drainer.

"Oh it's nothing." I smiled at my hands that I dried with the kitchen towel. I walked towards the kitchen counter and took my seat in one of the stools opposite Elena.
