Chapter 37 - Time Travel

"He's pretty good at that," Rocket compliments.

"I know right?" Scott gave a very excited grin as you all got ready, take in a deep breath to calm your self. Stepping towards Nat quickly you embrace her.

"I love you, Nat," she looks shocked before hugging back.

"I love you too, Y/n," she then holds you at arms length. "Don't worry we'll see each other soon," she smiles as you hesitantly nod. Everyone gets back to their spot. "See you in a minute," you look down sadly before taking a deep breath. The glass spirals above starts to spin as helmets cover everyone's faces. Immediately everyone is pulled into the quantum realm, a slight feeling of nausea arises in your stomach as you feel your feet touch ground. Looking around you were in the dungeons of Asgard.

"This way," Thor whispered. Running past cell after cell you see a familiar trickster laying down and throwing an object in the air peacefully. Thor and Rocket went ahead as you stayed behind. You walked slowly to the edge of the cell and stared at him. He stops his game and looks over at you.

"Y/n? What are you doing here? I'm so sorry about what I said last night I-" his voice... you missed his voice so much. Slowly tears started to form and fall, easily physically projecting yourself into the cell you embrace Loki who had stood up in worry. "Y/n, what's wrong? I didn't know what I said-"

"I missed you so much," he chuckles before pulling away.

"You saw me yesterday," You sniffle and look up into his emerald eyes. "You... are different... your hair is longer and you- Y/n? What's going on?" Wiping a tear from your cheek you take a deep breath.

"I'm- from the future, and I'm here to get the aether," smiling at him, he bursts into laughter. "I'm not joking," you say sternly, he stops his laugh and stares at you.

"You're serious?" You nod. "Wow, alright,"

"I need to go, but I just need to say... I miss you so much," you kiss his forehead and stay there for a while.

"Aren't I still alive?" He chuckles but stops when a breath gets caught in your throat. "I'm guessing not?"

"No, but- just remember one thing... don't be stupid?" He chortles and nods. "Oh, and please don't engage in any conversation with a girl called Cookie," He quirks a brow before you went back to your real self. Teleporting to Thor he screams and falls back. "Hey, Thor,"

"Y/n! Where have you been?"

"Y/n, darling," you yelp and turn to Frigga who had a bright smile on her face. "I'm guessing you're from the future?" You nod slowly. "Well, you've been learning I see," you nod again with a sad smile.

"I haven't gotten anything new since Asgard was destroyed along with its books-" you clasp you mouth and gasp. Frigga looks calmly down at you.

"Then I suppose you'll be needing books? I'm sure they won't be missed," staring wide eyed a stack of books appear in her arms and some by her feet. "I'm guessing you have learnt about vanishing items?"

"Yeah, I think I can-" you vanish away the stacks of books. "Thank you," quickly embracing her she sighs and reciprocated the action.

"You're very welcome," Rocket bursts through the door.

"You must be mom? Hey I got the thing let's go,"

"I wish we had more time," Thor mumbles.

"No, this was a gift. And you're going to be the man you're meant to be," she takes his hands in hers.

"I love you, mum," Thor croaks through his sadness.

"I love you too," hugging each other longingly Frigga adds a side note "And eat a salad," you chuckle as they pull back.

"Ok we got to go... 3... 2..."

"Wait!" You grin and look at the view as Thor outstretched his hand.

"What-? What am I looking at?"

"It takes a while," You giggle and see the Hammer coming through from the distance. Mjølnir reconnects to Thor's grasp and he chuckles in disbelief.

"I'm still worthy..." Rocket goes to say something but dismisses the thought, the suit reappears and you're all transported back to the base.
