"'Free as a bird.' I like that one." You chuckled. Sherlock pouted as you scrolled through more tweets. Mycroft sighed, taking the phone from your hands. "Hey!" You frowned up at him. You were enjoying reading Sherlock's tweets.
"'Free as a bird.'?" Mycroft repeated in a disapproving voice. He shook his head as he scrolled through the tweets on Sherlock's phone. You hid a smile as you saw how annoyed Mycroft was. You were both just happy to still be in London.
"God, you're such a spoilsport." Sherlock crossed his arms as he looked up at his brother.
"Will you take this matter seriously, Sherlock?" Mycroft looked down at him angrily. You agreed Sherlock wasn't taking it seriously, but where was the fun in that? Every once and awhile you had to cut loose and have some fun.
"I am taking it seriously. What makes you think I'm not taking it seriously?"
"Hashtag OhWhatABeautifulMorning." Mycroft spoke as he looked down at Sherlock's phone. You grinned at that, Sherlock was really happy to still be here. His happiness made you happy as well. It was cute he was tweeting about it, but he was doing it too much at this point.
"Look, not so long ago we were on a mission that meant certain death. Me or Y/n could've died. And now we're back, in a nice warm office with my wife and big brother and - Are those ginger nuts?" Sherlock spotted a plate of biscuits on the table and shot to his feet to grab one. You sighed, with a small smile as he snatched one. "Love ginger nuts." He shot you a grin and when he saw your obvious look he tossed you one too.
"Our doctor said you were clean." Lady Smallwood frowned from the front table as she looked at Sherlock who was happily snacking on his biscuit. You chuckled at her disturbed face as she studied Sherlock. No one knew this side of him outside of you, John, and Mary.
"He is." You told her, taking a bite from your own biscuit. "Oh, maybe ginger nuts aren't so much my favorite." You recoiled at the taste, sitting the biscuit aside. Sherlock picked it up, taking it for himself. You were kind of disappointed, you used to love ginger nuts...
"Yes, utterly clean. No need for stimulants now, remember? There's work to do." Sherlock nodded towards his brother. You nodded in agreement, you loved Sherlock's enthusiasm but you were ready to tell these people the truth about the case they'd invited you back on.
"You're high as a kite!" Sir Edwin frowned as he watched Sherlock take another enthusiastic bite from the biscuit. That's what they all thought. They didn't know Sherlock's odd fascination with cases such as this. Well, it was odd to them, not you. You were quite the same way.
"It's a natural high, I assure you." You chuckled. They looked over you, not looking too sure. Of course they didn't trust you, you were his wife.
"Totally natural. I'm just... glad to be alive!" Sherlock sang the last part, throwing his arms out to either side of him. You laughed at his crazy movements. "What shall we do next? What's your name?" Sherlock pointed to the elderly woman with cropped silver hair.
"V-Vivian." She stuttered in surprise at Sherlock's sudden and unexpected attention.
"What would you do, Vivian?" Sherlock asked, taking another bite from one of the biscuits.
"Pardon?" Vivian raised her eyebrows at him.
"Well, it's a lovely day. Go for a stroll? Make a paper airplane? Have an ice lolly?" He asked. You watched as both Lady Smallwood and Sir Edwin looked at Sherlock in disbelief as well as disappointment.
"Ice lolly, I suppose." Vivian nodded. You were glad someone in the room didn't think he was crazy for being happy.
"Ice lolly it is! What's your favorite?" Sherlock gestured enthusiastically as he looked at Vivian.
