Levi x Reader - Her Reckless Behaviour

[sup, i've come to the conclusion that there will not be too much pertaining to neither the manga or the anime. I'm just gonna write stuff that comes to mind maybe a bit of the anime here and there but not right now. okay enjoy!]

"Hey (y/n)." says my smiling roommate as she walks into our room.

"Hey," I give her a quick smile before going back to folding my uniform, "How do you feel about the expedition coming up?" Having folded the last article of clothing, I sit on my bed and wait for her reply.

"I don't know." she stops doing whatever it is she's doing and looks at me with worry in her eyes. "I'm just really scared,"

"Makes sense," I focus my gaze on the stars outside before looking back at her, "Hey, quick question,"

"Shoot,"

"Do you remember where we're going on this expedition?"

"Ummm," she pulls off her boots and leans on the bedpost, "I think the commander said something about Krovla District."

"K-krovla?" My voice shakes as I hear the name of my hometown. I haven't been there in so long and the last time wasn't a good time.

"Yup, i'll be right back" she slips on her flip flops as she heads to the showers leaving me with my thoughts.

"Krovla...District," I whisper to myself and I feel my chest getting heavy as I remember life there.

FLASHBACK

I'm running through the allies and weaving my way through the crowds. This is a lot of work for some bread jeez. I finally get home and duck under the windows even though I lost the vendors a while back I always like to make sure. I peek up over the window and sit back down once I see it's all clear. I smile to myself before I bite into the bread but before I can get the first bite a hand stretches over the window above me and takes it.

"Hey! Give that back!" I quickly jump over the window and start chasing the person who took my bread. After what seems like forever of chasing the person around we finally reach an ally where they can't go anywhere.

"You got me." I smile as I realize who it is, he places his hands up in defeat as he slowly turns around. "You know, I got kind of scared when you wouldn't stop running after me," He gives me a smirk before breaking the bread in half. I walk over to him and take my half before we sit up against the wall.

"Yeah, thanks for my workout." My breathing is heavy as I bite into the bread. I feel his eyes on me and I meet his gaze. "What, Josh?" I ask, giving him a smile.

"Oh, nothing," he looks away before looking back at me and he softly places his lips on mine. He pulls away and we continue eating our bread in silence. Once we finish I lay my head on his shoulder and close my eyes enjoying this moment.

"Oh, (y/n) I got something for you," He gets up and gives me his hand to help me up.

"You shouldn't have," I hold onto his hand as he places his other hand in his pocket and with a grin he pulls out a necklace. I look at the simple chain in aw as he turns me around. He brushes my (h/l) (h/c) to the side. His hand reaches over my head and he clips it in the back. I turn back around holding the chain and giving him a smile. "You like it?" I look down at the chain that rests just above my collar bone.

"O-of course. It's simple but yet beautiful," I continue looking down at the chain and Josh slowly tilts my head up so I'm looking at him.

"Just like you," I let out a chuckle before playfully slapping him,

"Stop being so cheesy," he gives me a hug before giving me another kiss on the lips.

FLASHBACK END

Josh I think to myself as tears stream down my face and I place my hands on my chain remembering the one person who made me happy. The one who taught me what I know. I let out a small smile and whisper to myself, "I miss you, Josh,".
