"B-but what is it for?" I replied
"W-well, your birthday is coming up. I might not be around at that time..." she softly replied
"W-why not?"
"I'm going on a vacation somewhere..."
"Oh......" I sadly turned my head down
She pulled me and held me close
"Don't worry, it won't be long. At least accept this necklace as a gift...."
"B-But seeing you is the greatest gift I can receive!" My 10 year old self shouted
I saw her blush, then she smiled "Don't worry. I'll be back. You know I'll never leave you, right?"
I was nearly tearing up "P-Promise?" I said, as I held my pinky finger
She laughed, then she said "Promise! Forever and ever!"
I smiled, knowing she'll be back...
Time passed, and we're currently in our first year in highschool. Of course, we're still the closer than ever
Everytime I'n with her it felt like I was a different person...in a good way at least
"EYO Y/N!"
I heard an energetic voice coming from behind
"Whatsup, Dubu?" I replied
"How's you're first day, huh?" She asked
"It's fine, I guess...although I wanted to be classmates with you" I said, then I gave her a cheeky smile
A thought suddenly went in my mind: WHERE DID I GET THE COURAGE TO SAY THAT?
I saw her blushed, then she said "S-Shut up. We're gonna be hanging out everyday anyways..."
Everyday, I felt lucky, knowing the fact that I'm hanging out with this special girl who's always there to make me happy
During one of our breaks, I saw Dubu sitting beside a tree in our school's garden. It looked like something deep was in her mind. I stared at her in awe...
It was just a beautiful view...
Wind was blowing, leaves were falling, sun's shining, and she was smiling right in the middle of everything
I approached her slowly without her noticing me. I laid on the grass, and let my head rest on her legs. I thought it was normal to do, since we were close friends anyways
I closed my eyes....
"W-What are you doing?" she asked
"I'm just tired, let me lay back for a second"
Minutes passed...it was quiet, and I can only hear the breeze that swept on my face
