He shook his head "Nope."
We saw Remus appear "Jan wants youuu." He had that crazy grin again as he dragged out the last sound, which caused me to laugh under my breath.
"Okay Remus. Come on guys." I started walking and they followed. As we went it got a lot darker and my jacket seemed to glow. The cat appeared again, also glowing as I held it.
After a bit of walking we found a barely lit room with four chairs and Janus sitting in one, his scales seemed to be glowing along with the two headed snake on his neck. When he saw us he got that smirk on his face and I rolled my eyes, sitting in one of the seats as the others sat down as well.
His eyes glinted "Thank you for coming. You know, it's almost as if there is more to you three then meets the eye."He smirked.
I huffed and rolled my eyes again. "What are you talking about Janus?" What was it with Dark Sides and being mysterious?
"I'm simply saying that if you were no more then the sides that you formed from, what need would we have for you? We already have Logic, Anxiety, and Morality" He looked to each of us in turn when he said our base sides. I sighed and pulled down my glasses to cover my eyes. "What we don't have however are, oh what is the term Pacani is rambling about? Ah yes..."He looked at us with a smug chaotic satisfaction "Fusions." And before we had time to ask him what he meant he sunk out, probably going to his room or something, leaving us with many questions and no answers. Curse you Janus.
I heard Badger turn toward us "Please tell me one of you knows the Crofters he was talking about?" I made a soft noise of amusement at 'What The Crofters' and apparently Planner also got confused because he questioned them on it. "I sometimes curse in Thomas Sanders terms" they muttered
"Of course you do, you're Morality based." Planner muttered, face palming
"Well at least partially, if Janus is to be believed." I added fumbling with my glasses before putting them back on my head.
Badger looked confused "Why would we? Until recently we all literally knew him as Deceit?"
I shook my head slightly "First of all, quoting Virgil? Really?" I chuckled slightly before continuing "But secondly he doesn't lie all the time."
Planner nodded "You're right, he tells the truth just enough that we can't be sure."
Badger sighed "So what are we going to do? Do we trust him?" I didn't have an answer to that, for some reason my mind wanted to say yes, but I shook it off.
Planner sighed "I...I don't know." He looked down, kicking the floor.
I sighed, walked over, and patted his shoulder "It's fine Planner, we can't always have the answers." I started to walk out and the cat jumped onto my shoulder "Now I'm going to go rob Remy of a coffee maker." I did a two finger salute before walking away.
Where would Remy's room be? Can I teleport? You know what, I'm going to try. I put my hand on a wall, and the cat ran down my arm. I froze looking at it when suddenly the floor opened, I yelped a little just before I landed on the floor with the smell of coffee in the air. Ugh, can I stop doing that?! I stood up, looked around and saw a mountain of coffee makers. Okay, wow, does one really need a mountain of those? I grabbed one and there was a slight click sound. "Oh Crofters." And then I ran, holding onto it tightly. Don't know what the click was but, nope, not doing that. I kept running till I ended up in the kitchen, put the coffee maker down and turned around to see Remy leaning against the doorway, staring at me through his sunglasses. Oh crap. I slowly moved standing to the side of the coffee maker and coughed as I leaned against the counter "So was the click an alarm of some sort?" I sighed "Sorry, I guess I could have just pulled one out of space, but I didn't think of that at that moment."
He moved his glasses, looking down at me before chuckling a little "It's been a while since someone had tried to take a coffee maker from me. The last time I couldn't find it, Virgil was very sneaky." He yawned before taking a sip of his coffee. "But yes, it was an alarm. I installed it because of Virgil, though apparently he has a partner now?"
I chuckled "Not really his partner, more like his split off."
He raised his eyebrow "Split off? I missed something didn't I." I sighed slightly and started to explain. After about an hour I had gotten a cup of coffee and he had run out of his, so he was now refilling it. After that, we made our way to the living room. "So you're a split off of Virgil?"
I nodded "Yep, I'm Panic." I sipped my coffee "I understand why you drink this, it's surprisingly good. So, do you forgive me for taking your coffee maker?"
He chuckled walking back over and sipping his coffee again "Yeah, just don't tell Emile I have a stack of coffee makers. He'll take them away again."
I spit out coffee in a surprised laugh "Again?" I coughed, wiping my mouth, putting it on the couch arm next to me. I looked at him amused "How many times have you gotten them taken away?"
He rubbed his neck sighing "Four times. Though I always try to hide them somewhere he won't look, but he always finds them anyway. It's getting harder and harder to hide them." He looked at the clock "Ah, I have to go now. See ya later Pan Pan."
I scrunched my nose at him "Okay bye, but never call me that again." As he sunk out, I stood up and looked at the clock. When did it get so late? I wasn't even tired so I turned the chair around, turned on the tv, and sipped the coffee. This was going to be a long night isn't it? Oh well.
