47. Double Confession

"Eun Byul, you have a guest," mom said as she stepped in my room before looking around my messy room with a disgusted face.

"Who is it?" I asked, glancing at her before turning my gaze towards the question once again to try to understand it.

"It's Kai."

At her words, my soul almost left my body.

Is it evening already?!!

Reaching out for my cell phone before checking the time, I heaved a sigh of relief.

"Mom, just send him in," I said, turning back to the question as I waved my hand nonchalantly in air, gesturing mom to leave if my messy room was bothering her so much to the point her face was scrunched in disgust.

"Fine," heaving a defeated sigh, mom said as shr walked out and a moment later, Kai walked in.

"Hello," he greeted me, standing at the door.

"Yo, you're early?" I asked as I clustered my books on one side of the bed, sitting in between them, "Come in. You can sit there on the corner," I said, pointing at the only clean corner of the bed.

"O-Okay," he said, stepping inside slowly before sitting down on the bed corner. As soon as he sat down, he jumped up, "Ouch!" he yelled, rubbing his butt.

Looking at the space he sat, I chuckled, "Sorry. I didn't say that thumb pin " I said as I grabbed it, chuckling while I rubbed thr back of my head, "Now you can sit safely."

He sat down once again and the room fell in silence as I continued paying attention to the question I was trying so hard to understand.

"Oh, that one's quite easy. Are you having problems with math? I can help you," he said a few minutes later, pointing at the question I was studying.

H-Have my prayers been answered?

"Please do so!" I exclaimed as I put my book between him and me.

The next few hours went by and I was mostly done with my work because of Kai's help. The chapters which I thought would take two hours were done in just half an hour because Kai explained all of them to me.

"Mom will be home soon to make dinner. Are you sure you don't wanna eat with us?" I asked Kai as I stood at the front door.

"It's totally okay," he said, waving his hand in air as he smiled.

"Then I will surely try to pay you back for today. Oh- I just remembered, didn't you said you have something important to say to me?" I asked as his texts from last night flashed through my memory.

"Right, that... I wanted to ask you if you..." he trailed off, his gaze falling to the ground before looking up at me, "Do you have a boyfriend?"

"Of course I have."

"R-Really?!" he asked in a surprised manner.

"Yeah. I have many actually. Taehyung, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin and well I guess Suga and I are also friends. You are my boyfriend as well," I answered, counting on my fingers.

"No, Eun Byul. That's not what I meant-"

"Oh! Did you meant to ask if I'm dating anyone?" I asked, raising my finger.

"Y-Yes."

"No, I'm not. Why?" I asked, tilting my head a bit.

"Then will you..."

"Will I?"

"Will you date me?"
