"There's nothing to talk -"
"-that night was a mistake," she interrupted. "Please, let's get back together."
King froze, he bit down on his lips. Jealousy and slight anger started to grow within him. He averted his eyes to observe Rune's face. Seeing the troubled and annoyed face on his crush, he felt himself somewhat calm down. Rune clearly had no intention of getting back together with Cherry.
King thought back to the way Rune gently held him - how he kept reassuring King's troubled mind about the engagement his mother was trying to push him into.
A sense of determination he hadn't felt in a while started to cloud him. It wasn't fair if only Rune was the one working and pushing for them to be together, when they both agreed to get to know each other before entering a relationship.
And they knew more than enough about each other, even if there existed a few secrets hidden between the two of them.
"He's not getting back together with you," he spoke up, surprising everyone. Fah bit back her excitement when she saw King sternly looking at Cherry. She loves a good drama.
"This is a matter between me and Rune-"
"Him and I," King corrected, making Fang cough back a laugh. Rune on the other hand had on an amused smile. He reached out and patted King's head, "Sorry, but I have no intention of getting back with you, Cherry."
"What? Because of him? You know how bad his re-"
"-Just because words go around giving me a bad reputation doesn't mean it reflects the real me," he argued back. "I don't know you, or the people who spread false information about me. Just as how you don't know me, either."
Rune felt a swell of pride at the way King was speaking up for himself rather than letting people have their saying about him. At the same time it worried him about how much King was holding in, and for how long.
Cherry shut her mouth, unable to retort back as she clenched her fists. She scoffed and left, making the twins laugh while Rune merely shrugged and shook his head - wondering why he liked her in the first place. He turned back and saw King clearly in a bad mood. Smiling, he swung his arm around King's shoulders.
"That was awesome," Rune said, planting a quick peck on King's cheek. His actions made King blush as Fang and Fah tried to cover their surprise. It was the first time they had seen the two showed any form of kissing after all.

"I'll go to the concert," King said. Rune grinned, pulling him onto his lap and placing his nose in the crook of his neck. He placed a trail of kisses on King's neck, unable to take how intoxicating his scent was.
His actions made the younger boy shudder and blush. "Rune," he breathed out, changing his position so he was now facing the teasing senior. Rune smiled, "Hmm?"
Without any warning, King leaned forward, closing his eyes, and planted a kiss on Rune's lips - making it their first kiss. Despite being surprised, Rune allowed the kiss and closed his eyes as well, tightening his hold around King. As they parted, and rested their forehead against each other's, they both blushed and grinned ear to ear.
"Well," Rune chuckled, "that was unexpected."
King grinned, showing off his signature bunny-like appearance, "But worth it."
"You got that right," Rune brought him into another kiss. It had been a week since King was called back to meet his mother, and had an encounter with Cherry the next day. Ever since then, Rune found the boy to be more clingy and affectionate, going as far as to be the first one to hold his hands when they were walking.
