I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous but I'm glad to see someone else can see the good in him as well :)

Rune found himself blinking rapidly in surprise, having not expected her to be so kind about the whole situation. There was no need for him to be jealous after all.

A sudden realization came to mind. Since Baifern had been with King before, then perhaps she also knew about King's mother. He wasn't expecting her to agree to help, but he could at least try to get information about King's mother.

Always. She's very controlling and abusive. King never liked me using the word abusive since he feels the damage she's done is nothing compared to what other kids in abusive households go through

I don't agree. Abuse is abuse, both mentally and physically. What she's done is unforgivable and that's saying a lot because I haven't seen half of the things she's done to him

I'm only telling you all this since he trusts and likes you enough to want to pursue a relationship

But it would be great if you could help him escape from his mother

King walked into the room, an amused smile on his face when he saw Rune smiling down at his phone. He sat down on the bed, allowing Rune to move over and grab the towel from his hand, and help him dry his hair.

"Feeling better?" he chuckled.

"Only because of you," Rune stated, wrapping his legs around King's waist - his actions making the younger one laugh. He swooned at the sound. "I just talked to Baifern."

"Really? What did she say?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"She says to take good care of you, and for the three of us to meet up," he grinned.

"I don't mind," King grabbed one of Rune's hands, giving it a tight squeeze. "As long as she didn't say anything embarrassing about me."
