"Oh- yeah!" Ink had almost forgotten what they were even doing all the time from the consistent reminder that he had to hide his fake feelings and being soulless from everyone. Not because he's afraid of getting picked on, he can't feel so why would he care? No, it was from the fact that having no soul made him an easy target for manipulation. The slightest feeling he could get from anything he would cling on to. Hint to why he's so close with Dream in the first place. Because of that reason, he was wearing a shirt to cover his ribs and soulless feature.
Soon, ink had gotten up looking at the water. He scrapped his toe against that water that send shivers down his spine from feeling the frozen cold water. Right behind ink, was Dream taking a run and jump right into the water with a big splash that spread water across the side of ink's face. Dream popped his head out of the water to soon float on his back. He spat out a great deal of water in a steady stream like the overconfident 7-year old that he was.
Ink leaned down sitting on the edge on the pool looking at his reflection on the water. "Need floaty's?" Dream's mother called form behind ink. Ink turned around and slowly nodded to Dream's mother, soon getting the floaty's he needed. Ink has never been a good swimmer but that can't be the fact that he just never swam right?
After a minute if being hesitant ink flopped into the water. The floaties held his arms and head up for a little before the floaty's just sliced off of his bony thin arms. They were obviously not made for skeletons.
Ink felt his skull fill up with water that just flowed into his eye sockets and mouth. But, despite his panic, he didn't say a word or make a noise to let anyone know. It was just him drowning down deeper and deeper into the pool until he felt something light touch his foot. He came to the realization that he was at the shallow end, and he could stand up.
Instead of doing the right thing and just put his floaty's back on and tighten them, he decided to tiptoe all the way to where the water reached his chin. He wanted to have fun, he wanted to play with his friend. He stupidly jumped up turning to his back and just barely floated above the water. Though the water was splashing into his eye sockets and mouth, he still made it! Ink gently glided across the water till he hit his head on something. He assumed it was just the wall, so he flipped around and placed his hands on what he thought was the edge of the pool, but turned out just to be dream's shoulders.
Ink was deep now, 6 ft deep, and the only thing that wasn't sinking him down was dream, so naturally, he clang on. "Ink your uh kinda heavy, can you get off please?" Dream huffed. He indeed was having a bit of a rougher time getting his head above water with both of their weights.
Ink wasn't listening just doing what his instincts told him too. Thus, dream couldn't take it anymore sliding out of ink's grip by swimming underwater. Soon ink sunk underwater as well. The way he fell so slowly made the water catch under his shirt lifting it above his head and over his face. Not only could he no longer see but now his whole entire chest was shown, even his soulless cage. And dream, heh, well he saw it all. The cage that was supposed to hold something so delicate and so fragile that you could break it with a touch, was gone.
No, where to be seen.
Dream's little heart that day was crushed, and grown for ink at the same time.

Error's POV
I slammed my locker door after getting my books for history while geno was going on with his nonsense. "Look, I just think it will be a good idea to make some friends. You seem to need some." I rolled my eye, leaning on my locker while giving geno that look. "Not a chance. How many times do I have to tell you this I don't want to-" "it's not about what you want error, it's about the great or good for all of us! You know that I'm going away soon and I need to know that you'll be okay without me."
I snarled and looked at my brother dead in the eye. "Great or good? How in the hell is that good for me?! The only thing that will happen from it is just another person hating me and my problems." Geno frowned and pulled up his scarf to his mouth something he only does when he's emotional. "Error no... it will help you a lot later on in life and right now too. Even if you don't want too you gotta!"
"I doubt it." I snapped back turning my head to face the ground in the fit of rage that was arising. Geno stared down at me with a poker face until he snapped his fingers "I got an idea!" He finally spat out with a grin. "Why don't you join a club?" I looked to geno with a "wtf" face. If anything is worse then having friends. Being in a club with people all around in one tiny room and they actually enjoy it. Ew. "No, that's even worst." Geno's eyes widen signaling that his 'brain' was working. "How about a deal? You join a club, and I will stop pestering you about getting a friend?"
I open my mouth to disagree only to slowly close it to think. He stop talking to me about having friends for the rest of the school year? That sounds like heaven. "You know what, sure." I finally agreed.
Geno's eyes brighten a little. He nodded. "Great! The poster of all the clubs are down this hall." He pointed towards the left and started walking towards the hallway. I followed right behind him to soon see the eye-blinding hallway just from the corner. Geno was already in the hallway looking at all the poster opportunity ones I might like.
"Oh, what about this one?" He said pointing towards a dark but light poster right near me. I looked and read the big "Theater Club" at the top. "No, I'm not joining th-" "oh! Ink's in theater too! It's perfect!" Geno chirped taking the pen that was attached to the poster and writing my name in the top second row.
On closer expectation I could see, that in fact, there was indeed ink's name being the first one on there as well. Which is, in my opinion, pretty quick since these posters were just put up today.
"ArE y-YoU SeRioUsSs?!" I glitched out now back in the fit of anger. Geno just giggled and shrugged as if he didn't do anything wrong. "Hey everyone's supposed to meet on Monday in the downtown at the auditorium after school, so you have time to meet ink and be friends with him of course!"
"God I hate you..." Dream chuckled. "I figured!"
"What are you guys up too~?" I heard a smooth but familiar voice call from behind us. On natural Instinct, I swung around and kicked whoever the hell it was right in the crouch area. I heard a faint whine wimpier out of him before he fell to the ground holding his crouch. "Oh, it's your black dildo of a friend." I snarled crossing my arms. After getting a good look at the guy I could make him out to be that guy I met yesterday at the gym.
From the corner of my eye, I could see geno wheezing at the fact that his friend(?) got kicked in the grind. Although the guy seemed to be in a lot of pain he looked happy that geno was smiling, and was even staring at my brother... ew.
"man, geno... your brother really is a kicker." The weird guy wheezed our while crying a little. Which made me smile a little at his pain. "And what do you think you boys are doing in the freshmen building?" A teacher from behind up called. We all looked up at her, to see she was definitely not amused. She eyed us all even me who didn't do anything.
"Young man I suggest you go to class now, while I take these two too the principals office. I wouldn't want you to come with me now do I?" she crooked out sounding like a drowning goose with every word she spat out. I shook my head no, waving my brother bye as I descended down the halls.
On my way to history I got to thinking. 'how bad would it be to get a friend?' Probably terrible. After seeing what the crackhead ink tried doing to nightmare in lunch I think I'm set on the 'friends thing' for now.
Weighing my options, I could ether be happy and alone while disappointing the only people who I care about, or I could end up with a crack head psycho. Well, I guess I already have too of those thing... would it be a bad thing to be friends with ink? Hmmm...
I'll guess I'll just have to find out on Monday.
