[Chapter 2] Operation: BEGIN!

"I overdid it!" Yashiro whined as she fell onto the floor.

I eventually left the other two be, I was already beginning to get a headache from all of Hanako's "Love Operations". I was now speaking with Kou and Teru, with me sandwiched in between them. I admit, I'm pretty close with the brothers but that's only because of Teru. He practically forced me to go meet his younger brother but once I did, I knew that he was just one of the most precious things I've ever seen. Apart from Yashiro and Aoi anyways.

"So why were there vegetables on your desk again?" Kou asked his older brother as I sweatdropped again.

"I really don't know..." He replied, equally as bewildered.

"That's weird, maybe it was one of those apparitions!" Kou exclaimed whilst looking around cautiously.

I giggled at his acts, "Oh Kou, I'm pretty sure there aren't any apparitions that have stuff to do with leaving vegetables on people's desk."

"I suppose you're right [Your Name]-senpai..." He blushed a bit. I pat him on the head, Teru smiling at us.

Suddenly, a blur of cream and teal came speeding towards us just as we were about to turn the corner. Teru pulled me back but as for Kou, he was unfortunately a second too slow. The blur crashed straight into him, the force sending Kou flying straight down a flight of stairs as well as the other person. My eyes widened as I quickly ran down the stairs, Teru following behind me.

"Kou?! Kou!"

"Hey, someone just went flying!"

"He fell down those stairs! Is he okay?"

"Huh? Who did I run into? GAHH!!" I immediately recognised Yashiro's voice.

"Ambulance! Call an ambulance!"

"I'm so sorry!

"I think I'm getting a migraine..." I spoke softly to myself, rubbing my temples.

The school day was finally over so here I was, doing more and more work for the Student Council. I sighed, hoping that Hanako wouldn't be causing any trouble for Yashiro. I worried that if I left them alone for too long, there would be another incident.

"If you aren't feeling well [Your Name], you should go home." Aoi Akane spoke up from in front of me. I forgot that he had been in here with me for a second.

"Ah, don't worry about me. Besides, I've just got this to do and then I'll be done." I said, gesturing to my stack of papers along with the extra work.

"That's still a lot of work [Your Name]. You're over-working yourself. I can even see the bags under your eyes." He pointed out.

"I know, but I can easily get this done. And you guys need to get home on time. I don't want you walking home on a dark, freezing night." I argued back.

"Well, too bad because I'm going to be doing your work for you today. And you aren't allowed to come in here until I see that you've relaxed a little." He spoke boldly, like a teacher telling off a child.

"No, please don't throw me out." I pleaded. He just shook his head.

"Sorry [Your Name], but you could really use a break." Akane denied. "If you don't want to go home, you could go accompany Minamoto's younger brother for a bit. I've heard that he's just left the nurse's office and I know how close you are to him."

"Fine, I wanna make sure that poor Kou is okay anyway. He took quite the tumble back there."

"Yeah, so I've heard. By the way, where is Minamoto? The older one I mean."

"He's probably at his usual spot. Y'know? Just reading a book or something like that. Probably lost track of time again." I said with a dull tone.

"I bet some girl has come and confessed to him. He is the school's 'Prince' after all." He spoke with hint of annoyance.

"Hah, I bet that you're just jealous you can't get Aoi to return your feelings~" I teased him, he turned a bright red.

"S-Shut up! And I thought I told you to go!"

"Alright, alright! Geez, no need to be so pushy!" I gave in, grabbing my stuff before leaving. "Thanks Akane, I appreciate it."

"It's no problem. And tell Minamoto to get over here! He needs to do his own work!"

I giggled. "Yes Akane, I'll make sure he gets his butt over to the Student Council room." I waved and then closed the door.

After bidding Kou a safe trip home, I walked down a hallway. Out of nowhere, a girl rushed past me, tears falling from her eyes as she sniffled and sobbed, continuing to run to wherever she was planning on going. I raised an eyebrow and went outside.

There he was, just as I suspected. I came over to Teru who was sat on a bench, hunched over and rubbing the back of his neck. He looked pretty exhausted. I then made the assumption that the girl from before had confessed their love to him and got turned down.

"You're late. Akane is gonna end up doing your work y'know. And then he'll be all grumpy tomorrow and we both know that won't end well."

"Whoops, sorry [Your Name]." He looked up at me. "Wait, I thought you were doing work in the Student Council room?"

"Well I was, until Akane kicked me out for today. He said that I needed a break." I told him.

"I have to agree with him [Your Name]. You're working way too much and you need to just calm down on the extra work." He said, looking at me with sympathy. "I'd better get going then, we definitely don't want a moody Akane tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder [Your Name]!" He thanked before collecting his belongings.

He placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled. I smiled back at him before watching him leave and going up to the Student Council office. I then felt a pair of arms snake around my waist and a head rest on my shoulder from behind me.

"[Nickname]-chan~ You're breaking my heart over here, spending time with other boys like this." A familiar voice whined.

"Amane..." I whispered softly, finally using his real name. "Where's Nene?"

"She headed home for the day. Our souls have now been bonded together so she is officially my assistant from now on." He explained. I gulped a little as I felt a twinge of pain from my heart. "I hope you'll come help her though~ I missed you [Nickname]-chan. I wanna hang out with you more often!"

"And make me clean dirty, old toilets? As if." I scoffed. He smirked.

"Well well... I guess I'll have to play around with Yashiro then." He spoke with a cheeky grin. I then remembered how much of a pervert he could be.

"On second thought... I think I'll come along for Nene's sake."

"Yay~!"
