"If my choices are cleaning bathrooms with you or sorting papers alone, I prefer the papers." Yashiro said bluntly, causing a few giggles to escape from my mouth as I tried to supress my laughter.

Hanako had an offended expression on his face. "Fine." He huffed. "I guess you miss breathing through your gills. Come, Haku-joudai. Let's go buy fish food."

"Yay! I love cleaning bathrooms!" Yashiro exclaimed, her demeanour changing entirely as she began to mop up the bathroom floor.

I looked out of the window, glancing at my textbook that I was holding every now and then. The class I was in was pretty boring, we were listening to an English broadcast about the Apollo Project. I smiled to myself, knowing Hanako would probably enjoy listening to this. He was quite the Space geek back then and probably still is deep down.

I turned my attention to Yashiro who was sat behind me. She was hunched over her desk, her head laying on top. Her eyes were closed and she seemed to be thinking about something. I could see Haku-joudai floating just behind her. I let out an inaudible sigh before turning back to my textbook. I then noticed that my notebook had disappeared along with my pencil case and all of its contents. My eyes widened a little as I searched my entire desk. I couldn't find them anywhere.

"Is there something wrong [Last Name]-san?" I heard our teacher ask.

"No sir." I replied, straightening up in my seat.

"If you say so. Yashiro-san! Please read from the textbook starting on page 37."

"Y-Yes sir!" Yashiro stuttered, standing up from her seat.

Yashiro was about to start reading until she noticed that all of her belongings disappeared too. She searched her entire desk and couldn't find them either. She panicked and started mumbling to herself. I quickly passed her my textbook, not wanting her to get scolded. Yashiro gave me a small nod before taking the textbook and reading the page. I exhaled, wondering if they were responsible for the missing items.

It was our lunch period now. I turned around to see Yashiro slumped over on her desk again. Haku-joudai was still here too. I assumed that Hanako had sent it here to watch over Yashiro.

"Oh, I can't find it anywhere!" She whined.

"Could that mean... that "Yousei-san" took it?" Aoi approached us, watering the plants on the windowsill.

"Aoi! Who's Yousei-san?" Yashiro asked curiously.

"You haven't heard? It's a rumour that's going around." Aoi began before telling us the rumour about Yousei-san.

"Have you ever lost something you were sure you'd been careful with,

or found something missing from it's usual place just when you needed it?

That must be the work of Yousei-san.

But you must never look at Yousei-san. If you do..."

"...It will take your life too. Or so they say! It's just a rumour, though." Aoi reassured, Yashiro releasing a sigh of relief.

"Oh, that's all."

"But lately... a lot of people really have been losing things." We looked over to a group of students who were all searching for their missing items. "So, maybe Yousei-san really does exist."

"No way." Yashiro said, a little unsure.

"Hey, we've got a problem!" A student announced.

Me, Aoi and Yashiro rushed out to see the situation. There was a crowd of students over at the lockers so we went over as well. I gasped as the two beside me looked just as shocked.
