Chapter 16: "It's my birthday."

Nikko and Sarah nodded sadly as they left. "I'm so sorry, oppa." Lisa hugged Yoongi again. "Lisa, we need a minute." Hoseok looked her in her eyes. "Quit trying to take my brother away from me! I know he's important to you, but he's my brother!" Lisa yelled at him, making Yoongi start to cry again. "I'm not trying to take him from-" "Yes you are!" Lisa interrupted him. Yoongi clinged to Hoseok tighter. "Lisa, give us a minute." Hoseok repeated. "No. You can't make me-" "Lisa, go." Hoseok stared into her eyes. "No-" "Now." He spoke firmly. 

"I'm older than you, so go." He told her. Lisa scoffed as she left, and probably said a few curse words under her breath. "Yoongi, look at me." Hoseok tilted Yoongis' head up, making him look him in the eyes. "Now is not a good time to do this. You have things to do." Hoseok told him. "Later maybe we can have ice cream, but you can't do this now." He added. "I dwon't want ice cweam! They scwared mwe!" Yoongi pouted. "I'm sorry they scared you, Yoongi. You know what, why don't you take a nap with me?" Hoseok smiled at him. 

Yoongi giggled as he rested his head on Hoseoks' chest, and Hoseok wrapped his arms around him. Yoongi suddenly realized what he was doing, and perked up. He took his thumb out of his mouth, and wiped his hand on his pants. "What the f*ck just happened, why was-" "Yoongi, you're a little." Hoseok smiled at him. "What-" "Sarah, Nikko, and Lisa scared us to wake us up, and you started crying and talking weird, then you put your thumb in your mouth, and that's when I realized that you were a little. Why didn't you tell me?" Hoseok explained. 

"Because I'm not?" Yoongi answered. "You should tell me these things. It's important." Hoseok looked Yoongi in his eyes. "I'm not a little, Hoseok. I've never acted like a child, other than when I actually was a child." Yoongi told him. "Yoongi, you don't have to hide it. Just don't go into it while you're hanging out for your birthday-" "I'm not a little, so don't worry about it." Yoongi interrupted him, getting off of Hoseoks' lap. Yoongi traveled to the kitchen after seeing it decorated. 

"Happy Birthday!" Nikko, Sarah, and Lisa smiled happily. Hoseok stood behind Yoongi, and kissed his cheek, making Yoongi blush. "Happy Birthday." He smiled. Tears of happiness formed in Yoongis' eyes, and he looked at the decorated kitchen. He stood speechless in the kitchen as Lisa hugged him. "You're 17 now! You're so old." Lisa laughed. "Whatever." Yoongi laughed, hugging her back. "We bought you a few things, even though we didn't know what you liked." Sarah smiled awkwardly at the end of her sentence. "You didn't have to-" "Well we did, so go open them!" Lisa cut him off, pulling her older brother to the table. 

Yoongi was speechless when he opened one of the smaller boxes. A new phone. "Jimin told me that your old phone cracked and broke because of the cold hallway, so I got you a new one!" Lisa smiled happily. After opening the rest of his gifts, he burst into tears again. "You're so emotional, oppa." Lisa giggled, hugging her brother again. "I-I've never g-got any of this s-stuff, a-and I d-don't know w-what to s-say." Yoongi stammered out, trying not to cry so much. "It's alright, Yoongi. We wanted this to be a memorable day for you." Sarah hugged him softly. 

Once he stopped crying, Nikko carried out Yoongis' birthday cake, and Sarah lit the candles. It was secretly an ice cream cake, but it was covered with thick chocolate buttercream, and decorated with colorful candies. 17 candles shone around the outside of the cake on the top, and 'Happy Birthday' written in Yoongis' favorite color; white. They sang him Happy Birthday, and Yoongi blew out all of the candles in one breath. Nikko cut the cake, and even though it wasn't perfect, Yoongi was still extremely grateful that they had done all of this stuff for him. 

Hoseok put a little ice cream on Yoongis' nose, and they had a laugh, seeing him trying to lick it off with his tongue. His tongue was just barely too short, and Lisa wiped it off with a napkin. They were all stuffed after eating half of the ice cream cake, so they all crashed in the living room for a bit. They all accidentally fell asleep, and took a 3 hour nap. Around 7 in the afternoon, they all woke up with a sudden burst of energy, so Hoseok played DJ, and they had a dance party.
