It took a little less than twenty minutes for you to arrive back at your station. When you did everyone naturally started on the way back to the hotel, but Wakatoshi stopped you.
"There's a place Tendou told me to take you when he heard you were visiting Osaka. It appears it's close by, I'm looking up the directions right now." He said and both you and Marie curiously walked up to him and peeked at his phone.
"Is it a shop?" Marie asked.
"No, a shopping street." Wakatoshi replied as he started walking. "It's a fifteen minute walk from here, is that okay?"
Even though you were getting tired, since you hadn't slept for a long time, you definitely wanted to see the place Tendou thought you should visit.
You walked in the opposite direction of your hotel on a rather big street. There were some stores, like a 100-yen shop and a book store, and other buildings and it was only after a good ten-minute walk that the scenery started to change.
More and more shops started to pop up in tall buildings, they were mostly electronic shops at first, but then you started to notice more and more banners with random anime characters. There were game shops and Marie was practically jumping up and down at the sight of a huge CD, DVD and games store.
You stopped every other shop to look in the window, amazed at all the merchandise.
"I guess this is it. This place is called Denden Town. Tendou told me it's Osaka's version of Akihabara and you should definitely check out the side streets." Wakatoshi said and both you and Marie turned to him, stars in your eyes.
"Tell Tendou thanks for us!" Marie said to Wakatoshi.
"We're so lucky it's close to the hotel!" You said to her. "I'm going to be totally broke by the time we leave here!"
"You better control yourself, girl! You have still have to pay for hotels for a month remember?" Marie reminded you.
"Of course, I was exaggerating!" Then the both of you turned to your three male companions.
"Is it okay if we browse around a little?" None of them seemed to really be into anime or games or anything, so you promised to not take too long, even though they assured you that it was alright.
After going in and out of stores for about an hour both you and Marie had already bought some things. You also already had a little collection of gachapon, the capsule toy machines were everywhere. Some stores had a few of them outside, while others had rows. There was even a tiny two-story shop that had nothing but the machines inside.
It was getting pretty dark by then and Noya suggested you would look for a place to eat before returning to your hotel.
You found a cozy place but had to wait for a while until there was room for you to sit. Which was something you were not used to doing, but which Wakatoshi told you was a normal thing in Japan.
All through dinner you could feel your energy level drop until you were literally nodding off while waiting for the bill.
"Are you okay?" Wakatoshi asked you, concerned.
"Yeah, I'm just super tired. I only had a couple of hours of sleep the night before the flight and I couldn't sleep on the plane." You told him, trying to stifle a yawn and failing.
"We'll be on our way back soon, then you can go to sleep." He assured you and you leaned your head against his shoulder.
"I kind of don't want to." You told him with a pout. "Because then you'll leave."
"Yeah, but we'll see each other soon. It won't be five months this time, Christmas is less than a week away."
"You're right." You said to him as you noticed the waitress arrive and sat up straight again to find your wallet in your bag. You all paid for your part of the bill and then went on your way back to the hotel.
Your feet were aching by the time you got back and, despite what you had said before, you were eager to go to bed.
You and Marie said goodbye to Nishinoya and Hyakuzawa, who then went to wait for Wakatoshi a bit further up ahead. Marie went inside the hotel, giving you and Wakatoshi some privacy to say goodbye.
"I'll see you Thursday, alright? Until then, if you need anything just call me and I'll see what I can do." He said to you as he held both your hands in his. "Did you bring gloves? Your hands are freezing."
"I'll go buy a pair tomorrow." You promised him. "I'm so glad I got to see you again."
"Me too." He said and leaned down to kiss you. "Now go inside, before you get sick."
While those were his words, you could see from his expression that he was having just as much difficulty letting you go, as you did going away.
"Goodnight, I'll see you soon." You told him and after pecking him on the cheek you walked into the hotel.
"Goodnight."
