Chapter 14: Remember Me

"I'm fine- wait!" I gasped, seeing a tow truck off to the side. "I-I have an idea! Shane, Tessa, see the hook? Can you secure it somewhere close by without being seen and trip up Lockdown?!"

"I think that's possible." Shane agreed, and Tessa nodded.

"You help dad defend Optimus."

"You know I will." I said, standing up.

"I gave you an order!" Optimus gasped as Bumblebee approached and shot forwards, transformed and landed a few kicks and punches into Lockdown's frame! Uncle Cade came out of his spot and began a rapid set of shots at Lockdown's exposed frame along with Bee,  sending him spiralling into the ground!

"GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" He yelled at Shane and Tessa, walking up with his gun pointed at a recovering Lockdown, me right beside him. "HEY YOU!" He shouted, firing again. 

"RIGHT HERE UGLY!" I added in, bravely standing at my uncle's side. I was done running away. The bounty hunter looked at me and scowled, a look that I knew meant he was going to kill me.

So be it.

"CADE! GABBY GET OUT OF HERE! THIS IS MY FIGHT!" Optimus yelled, trying to pull out his sword. 

Lockdown grabbed Bumblebee, swung him around like a ragdoll and tossed him! "It's my fight." He snarled, pointing a gun right at me! "And you're all going to die!"

I stared at him, right in the eyes, feeling my energy build up. And I exploded. I raised my hands and blue shots of energy fired and hit him, making him stumble back a few feet! "THIS IS MY PLANET, MY HOME, MY FAMILY, AND YOU WON'T TAKE ANY OF IT AWAY!" 

Uncle Cade was right beside me in an instant, firing with me as we held Lockdown back. The AllSpark's energy burned in my veins with each shot we fired, unafraid. Shane suddenly appeared, driving the tow truck and tripped him up! My plan worked! Lockdown fell but swooped at us with one of his blades, which I deflected with a blue shield while my uncle ducked. 

Uncle Cade and I managed to get his chest and sides as he tried to stand up, and the bounty hunter plunged a blade into the ground, attempting to stab us but we dodged. He kept swiping and stabbing, we kept dodging and ducking, giving Shane enough time with Tessa to do it again. He attempted to stab Uncle Cade but I stopped him with a blue blade of holy energy, though the difference in strengths made it nearly impossible for me to keep it up for very long. He rose his claw hand and tried again, but I stopped him, though this time my deflection was way weaker. 

"I... I can't keep this up for much longer!" I gasped out, then yelped as my energy faded and I was struck!

"GABBY!" Uncle Cade yelled as I collapsed, clutching my arm. 

"You see my face your life is done!" Lockdown hissed, blades pointed at us! "Pitiful excuse of the AllSpark... you should have died ages ago!" 

My eyes widened as he raised his arm and I scrambled over top of Uncle Cade! I prepared for the blow but instead- 

Optimus stabbed him right through his spark! The mech fell and, ew, threw up gunk, barely missing us! The Prime proceeded to slice clean through his frame, killing him instantly and tossed him aside.

"Optimus!" I gasped out in relief, twisting around to look up at him. 

"Honor, to the end." He said with a small nod. I scrambled upwards and hugged his foot, my wound partially healed thanks to the AllSpark. 

"my hero." I murmured happily, gazing up at him. Optimus smiled back down at me. But trouble wasn't over yet! 

Shots were fired, rapidly, from the Decepticons! Optimus quickly stabbed his shield into the ground, and we ducked behind it.
