Chapter 8: I'm hurt

"You need to distance yourself from her so that she will get used to that and when the time comes that we're going to say her our plan and relationship, it will be easier for her already okay? After that... We can live freely already" Kai said then smile warmly.

Jennie stops crying while looking at Kai's eyes. It's more easy and fast. Kai's right.

"O-Okay" Jennie said which made Kai smile even more.

"That's my girl," Kai said then hugged, Jennie.

Lisa hopped inside her car then hold the steering wheel so tight. She punches it multiple times as the tears continued to flow through her cheeks. It's just a break, it's just rest, she's just going to give Jennie a space but why does it hurt so much?

Lisa leaned her forehead at the steering wheel then tried to calm herself.

She wiped her tears then sat up straight. She was about to start the engine when she saw Jennie walking outside the company while laughing and looking so happy at whatever Kai told her.

Lisa's blood boiled at the sight. How come she can smile that wide and genuine with Kai but gave a cold shoulder with her?

They entered the company car. Kai helped Jennie and make sure not to hit her head at the roof of the car. Lisa hopped out and run towards them. The sight was painful and Jennie's smiles and laughs with Kai aren't helping at all.

She's too near when the car already drives away.

"Jennie!" She shouted but of course, Jennie didn't hear her.

She runs through her car again then followed them while trying to call Jennie but the latter is not answering.

Pain and Jealousy are eating her.

The company car stopped at some building. It's the meeting venue. Lisa stopped too and saw Jennie and Kai with some guards already walking inside.

"Jennie!" Lisa shouted then run inside but some guards stop her.

"You're not allowed to enter miss. Special companies and stockholders have meeting today, if you need something just go back tomorrow" The guard said while standing firmly in front of Lisa.

"No. Jennie is my girlfriend, I need to talk to her" Lisa insists passing but two guards are blocking her.

"Jennie!" She shouted again that made the others who are entering the building look at her. Some are stockholders and some are CEOs from different companies.

"Ma'am you're not allowed to enter please don't make a scene here or we're going to drag you out," The guard said.

The receptionist not so far from them saw the scene and immediately call backups to drag Lisa outside because she's making a scene at the entrance.

"My daughter. It's nice seeing you at this big meeting especially you're with Kai. I really love seeing you both together" Mr. Kim greeted then hugged, Jennie.

"Kai, my soon-to-be son-in-law. Someday you're going to run our company and help Jennie" he said then tap Kai's shoulder.

Mr. Kim's eye landed on some girl at the entrance who's trying to enter the building while the guards are stopping her.

"Pathetic," he said that made Kai and Jennie look at the entrance too. Jennie's eyes widened seeing Lisa here.

"You're going to marry that? Jennie?" Mr. Kim asked mockingly.

"Let me take care of that" Jennie said then walk towards Lisa with Kai and Mr. Kim following her from behind.

"Lisa" she called which made the guards look at her and bow.
