-7- The Siege of the Northern Water Tribe

Start from the beginning

I knew his sister. She's the worst. Also kinda psychotic.

He sat next to me, "Guess we'll be here awhile."

I laughed, "Yeah. Cave. This is fine."

He noticed my hands gripping onto the coak over my head, "Are you still cold?"

I smiled, "I'm an almost master firebender! I shouldn't get cold."

He just stared at me.

"Okay I'm a little cold."

The farthest corner of his mouth tilted up. He wrapped his arm over me, bringing my body closer to his. I felt heat drift to my face. Though I would have thought my body would have decided to use the extra heat to keep me from losing a toe, my face felt like it was on fire.

Aang stured. The prince let go of me, but we still sat close together.

"Welcome back."

"It's good to be back," Aang used his bending to press us to the wall of the cave. He tried to crawl out, but the prince caught him. I followed them out of the cave.

"That won't be enough to escape."

The avatar and I noticed the bison at the same time, "Appa!"

Katara got off the flying bison as Prince Zuko threw Aang to me.

"Here for a rematch?"

"Trust me Zuko, it's not going to be much of a match."

She destroyed him in seconds. He was still alive, but definitely not conscious. I handed Aang over to his friend Sokka.

The two glared at me, Katara spoke, "Aren't you going to try and stop us?"

"You're just making my job easier," I smirked, "Now I don't have to come up with a plan to break him out myself."

Sokka untied Aang, "Hey, this is some quality rope!"

Aang stretched out, "We need to get to the oasis; the spirits are in trouble!"

The three boarded the bison, the moon girl was already sitting on the saddle.

"Avatar Aang," He looked back down at me, "I know I keep asking you for help, and I know I don't deserve it. But you and I both know I won't be able to get him out of here in this storm. I can help you guys out. Let me try and help. I beg you take us with you. You can tie us up if it makes you comfortable! But Please..."

Aang looked at the prince, then at his friends, "We can't just leave them here."

"Sure we can. Let's go."

"If we leave him they'll die."

Aang nodded to me, I helped him pull the prince onto the bison. I then climbed on myself.

"Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. Let's bring the guy who's constantly trying to kill us and his girlfriend."

I glared at the water tribe boy, "He's not my boyfriend. We're just best friends. Also, he wants to capture Aang, not kill."

Katara spoke with venom in her voice, "Yeah because that makes it so much better."

I looked off the side of the bison as he flew over the icy land, "I'm sorry for all the trouble we've brought you all. If it's any consolation, I don't want Prince Zuko to succeed in capturing Aang. Whether you believe me or not, I want this war to end. I want the fire nation to lose."

The moon girl looked at me curiously, "Why would you want that?"

I laughed, "Why wouldn't I? My nation has taken so much from this world. I know I can't bring it back. I know I can't make up for the last hundred years. But I know... I can try to fix something. I can try to stop my nation from taking more. It's what my sister would want me to do."
