An Aizawa Shouta x Reader fanfiction. Please be aware that this will be a student/teacher relationship. :) Enjoy!
Finally, you reached your destination. You knocked on the door thrice before you heard a grumble from the other side.
You opened the door to reveal Mr. Aizawa and Mr. Yamada (Present Mic). They are the only two left and Present Mic seems to be leaving soon. He's already packing his things.
"[Y/N]! What brings you here, darlin'?" Mic greeted you loudly and full of enthusiasm, as usual.
"Hello Sir, I'm here to talk to Mr. Aizawa." You smiled politely.
"Okay, I'll leave you both to it! See you!"
And he's gone.
When the door slammed shut, you really don't know what to do.
"Why are you fidgeting? Sit down." Aizawa said. You nodded and sat down on one of their couches for the guests.
You heard shuffling and decided to look over at your teacher. He's sorting some papers and he seems to be stressed.
"Give me a minute. I'll be done soon." He said, as if sensing your gaze, again.
You answered him before looking down, feeling the tips of your ears burning. You don't know why, but you feel really embarrassed.
After a minute, the silence was cut of by Mr. Aizawa's chair scrapping the floor when he stood up with a grunt.
'He's like an old man.' You thought to yourself with a snort, feeling the laughter bubbling up but tried to stop it with a cough before he notices.
He sat down in the opposite couch, facing you directly, with the coffee table in between of you both.
"You know why you're here."
"Yes."
"What you did in the past few weeks was not good [Y/N], you know that."
"Yes."
"I don't want to accuse you of being involved with some villains [Y/N], but you're making me, us, think about it."
"NO! God, no Mr. Aizawa, that's a ridiculous idea! I would never do that, I swear to my life!" You said full of conviction.
"Then where have you been going?"
You inhaled and exhaled, trying to suppress the emotions coming out, before answering his question.
"I-I was taking care of something in my dorm room and it's really, really, important for me, for personal reasons. After that, I got stomach ache for a few days, probably because of something I ate, and you know the rest of the story." You looked at him in the eye, gulping down the guilt that's creeping up.
"I know that what I did was wrong, and I promise you, I won't do it again. I'll be active and always present in my classes again. I'm so sorry I gave you all trouble and made you all doubt my loyalty." You bowed down for how stupid everything sounds. After all that, you still can't tell him the truth.
You're afraid they might thought it's so stupid to skip classes just because of some cats who can probably take care of themselves.
But it's not just because of the cats. They are one of the reasons, but of course you'll have to tell him the real reason why you just can't leave the cats alone. You're not ready for that.
Plus, the stomach ache part was partially true.
There was a short silence, just you and Mr. Aizawa staring at each other's eyes, before he finally answered.
"Okay, but you'll be on house arrest for 2 days as a punishment."
You're eyes widened on how well he accepted your clumsy reasoning. It's literally full of flaws that he can ask about, but he decided to just let it slip. Is he being soft or maybe he's just oblivious?
"Is that all sir?"
"Why, do you want more punishment or is there more in that story?"
You bit your lip, silently scolding yourself. You know that look on Mr. Aizawa. He's up to something, he knows something.
"No, I mean, I thought I'll get a harder punishment."
"That's enough, for now. You'll still be under my monitoring anyway. I'll know if you're not telling the truth, [Y/N]." He looked at you sternly, almost making you shrink back in the couch.
"Okay sir. Again, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience I gave. When do I start?"
"Tomorrow. You'll be in charge of cleaning for 2 days."
You nodded while looking down at your clasped hands on the top of your lap.
"You may go. It's almost time for dinner." You both stood up after he said that.
You thanked him again before excusing yourself. But before you close the door, you heard him call your name.
"[Y/N]."
"Yes Mr. Aizawa?" You looked back at him while holding the door open.
"I'm not dumb. You're not telling me the whole story, [Y/N]. But I'll let you pass for now because I know you're not stupid enough to make rash decisions that can affect your future."
You look him in the eye and nodded, feeling defeated and at the same time, thankful that he didn't push you to tell him everything and that he trusts you.
It may sound really obnoxious, but it's not just because of your quirk why you're so attached to cats.
There’s a deep reason behind and it might be laughable and can easily be brushed off to someone, but for you, it's a heavy burden that you're carrying since forever.
You're afraid that no one will understand if you tell them the truth.
But maybe one day, somebody will.
