On the other side were Lila, Noah, and Bryce, and let me tell you, we sucked.

And the best part was, I didn't really care because I was too focused at how Noah Beck took every chance to high five my best friend or hug her. And I grinned every time he did.

He seemed more happy getting the point so he could make some contact with Lila, than actually winning the game.

And that was big for a football player that loves to win.

Blake also noticed because he grinned and turned to me as well, every time he did it.

Josh and Bryce on the other hand are completely oblivious to it as they try to rub in every point in each other's faces.

So basically we stop after every point to stop them.

As if Noah felt our tight gaze on him, he looks up to us and— wait a minute, blush?!

Blake turns to me and looks as shocked as I was. Never, had I seen Noah Beck blush, and by the looks of it.. neither had Blake.

Lila was somehow oblivious to the fact that Noah was trying to do anything to touch her— which I find completely amusing.

So much seems to be happening, stuff that I never thought I'd see:

a) Noah Beck blushing
b) My best friend; the one immune to frat boy charms, was now not immune to frat boy charm

Can't wait to grill her when we get back home.

After one more glance to Blake to react to Lila, we both laugh and play the rest of the game.

After the game finished we all left the pool, but suddenly, Blake was convincing us to come in again.

"But why?" Noah asks, being one of the three people Blake called.

"For something fun," he smiles. "Let's do the chicken fight thing," he adds on.

"What?" Lila asks. Right now, only four people were in the pool. Blake, me, Lila, and Noah.

After some pretty horrible explaining, we start playing. Lila on Noah's shoulders, which Noah seems to love, and me on Blake's shoulders which I feel quite love-hate towards at the moment.

When we start, Blake charges to them and I try to grasp on Lila's arm but she shoves my weak, first timing event and pushes me lightly in the process. "Oh my god! Babes are you okay!" Lila yells, as though I just died and I laugh.

"Calm down, Lila, nothing happened to me," I try to calm her down. "Yeah, I won't let anything happen," Blake adds and Lila grins.

Huh?

We continue to and after too many rounds, me and Blake finally win! I do some stupid celebratory dance to try to rub it in their faces, but they still struggle to pick themselves from the water, missing the show I put on.

Not once in my life did I ever have a better experience in something. It was full of laughter, yet fear of loosing.

And all I had to thank was Blake.

Pool chicken fights, check.

I go into a bathroom to change into dry clothes so all of us could go out for lunch. Once I get out, I head to Blake's room to meet up with him so we could leave on his bike.

Most of the others were taking one car together but since there wasn't enough space for us, and I loved riding the bike, we offered to go on our own.

I step into his room. "Thank you for today," I smile.

"Shouldn't be thanking me, but I had a great time too."

"Really? You seemed upset earlier," I say, wondering now if he'll be fine discussing it with me.

He sighs and then starts. "I just realized I wanted something that I couldn't have," he says looking upset.

If this were my dream world, I'd be jumping up and down on Peppa Pig's face in cheers, chanting, 'BLAKE GRAY WANTS ME!' over and over again.

But this isn't.

So I try changing the topic. "And the game, another weird hope/dream that you made happen," I say hugging him.

He goes stiff for a second but smiles and softens. His hands only take a second to grab my waist and pull me closer. "Anything for you Brynn,"

Imagine hearing the person you wish to spend all your days with say your name. Something so simple, yet could probably cause a heart attack.

Well it just happened.
