After an hour and forty five minutes, I arrived home. I ran my normal trail-the Tacoma Trail-twice as well as running a much shorter trail before coming back home. The run was a lot longer than my newly healed body was used to but I loved every minute of it. I had forgotten how much I missed the exhilaration.

I huffed tiredly as I pulled onto my street. I slowed to a steady walk and pushed the loose strands of my hair out of my face. My body was covered in sweat; my arms, my legs, my face, my everything. There was soreness in my left leg, but I knew it was from the fact I had been working it so much for the past week and running over thirteen miles had done an impeccable job in intensifying it.

I smiled when I finally limped into my driveway and noticed the GMC Topkick sitting in its normal spot. I patted Ironhide's side before limping into the house. After I shut the door all eyes turned to me. I smiled at the three figures in front of me.

My mom and dad were seated on the couch while Ron was sitting on the recliner I had been sitting in before I departed for my run. I limped over to the couch and sat down beside my mom.

"Hey guys. What's up?" I leaned my head against my mom's shoulder.

"Nothing. Why are you limping?" my dad asked.

I looked over at him. "I'm not," I lied.

Ron grunted. "That's funny because you hobbled all the way from the street to the door. What's wrong?" Ron insisted.

Sometimes it slipped my mind that he was present in both forms at once. I pursed my lips. "I'm just sore."

"How many miles did you run today?" my mom asked. One thing Ratchet told me that I had forgotten was not to run a long distance. .oops.

"Thirteen or so," I answered her.

"Did you not hear what Ratchet told you?" Ron pressed.

I chuckled. "I heard him. I only just forgot his key point until now."

"Insolent child," he grumbled.

I shot him a look. "How many times do I have to tell you that I am not a child?"

He chuckled and I couldn't help but smile. "No matter how many times you tell me, it's not going to change anything."

I shook my head and moved to sit on the coffee table.

"Don't you think you're over doing it just a bit?" my dad chided.

I shrugged. "Maybe so, but I've missed being able to do what I use to be able to do."

"That's understandable but we don't need another knee injury. I've only just now rid the sound of those retched crutches out of my mind," my mom exclaimed.

"You're being a little melodramatic. But, okay."

I turned towards my dad and Ron, a smirk on my face. "Care to elaborate on the issue involving my two favorite Autobots?" I asked.

Ron raised a brow. "I beg your pardon?"

He was quite cute when he was trying to be offended. My dad even laughed at his reaction.

"Mudflap and Skids?" He grunted and rolled his eyes.

"The story I was told was that the two of them wondered off and managed to find their way into the boiler room. I had no clue what the hell they were doing down there but they managed to detach one of the bolier's safety valves and then everything went down from there. Luckily, no one was hurt," my dad explained

My eyes widened. The twins may have been two of my favorites, but the actions they ensued did require a lot of discipline.

"Are they being punished?" I inquired.

"More or less. They've already received quite a good beating for their actions," Ron said.

The expression on his face made it clear to me that he was the one who had provided the beating. Of course.

"You're always so violent," I said.

He shrugged and smiled at me. "Sometimes it's necessary."

I just chuckled and turned to my dad. "How are you feeling?"

He gave me an odd look. "Huh?"

"Remember what you said yesterday? How is are you in that particular subject? Anymore strange epiphanies?" I baited.

"Nope. The one still lurks deep inside my mind. It'll be fine though. You were probably right," he laughed.

I always was.

I stood up from the coffee table and stretched, popping my back and arms as I did so, the sound causing the three to grimace. I was beginning to feel rather icky with all of this sweat drying onto my skin.

"Are you sure you didn't just dislocate or fracture a bone?" Ron teased.

"I assure you that's not the case," I smirked.

I took a step to walk but my leg had become abnormally stiff and that prevented me from walking, so I fell to the floor with a squeal. I groaned and sat up quickly. In front of me stood my dad and Ron. My mom sat forward on the couch, her eyebrows etched in worry. Ron held a hand out to me and I gladly took it. He pulled me up and steadied me on my feet. I bent my knee back and forth hoping to get rid of some of the stiffness and to my surprise it was working. I was starting to get uncomfortable underneath the three pairs of eyes that were staring at me though, so I took a small step backwards.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Ron asked.

I nodded. "I'm going to go take a shower now. I'll be back down in a little bit," I told them.

Moments later I headed up the stairs.
