Chapter 45 : Tragic Continues

Aditya hurried as he yelled "Arjun" and he hurried towards Zoya. Arjun, Harsh, Prem came outside their room hearing Aditya's scream and stopped in their tracks for a minute to understand what's happening. Zoya's body lay motionless at the end of the stairs when Aditya reached her, and others came running to them.

Aditya pick her up on his lap and tapped on her cheeks. As she didn't respond, he tapped her cheeks again while saying, "Zoya... Can you hear me?" But still there was no response. He looked at Arjun and said, "Call doctor urgently..." and then he checked her pulse. He can feel her pulse but was feeble.

He then carried her to his room and laid her in his bed. Just then, he saw blood oozing from her head. "Zoya... Zoya... Come on... Don't give up on me... Just now you told me that we have all the time in this world... and whole life ahead of us... Now, please don't give up on me..." Aditya said while his eyes welled up.

Zoya stayed motionless and took her hand in his and said, "Zoya... please wake up... I can't live without you and... I understand that my happiness is you and being with you... I just want you in my life..." Arjun came with the doctor and Aditya moved to other side of Zoya on the bed.

Doctor checked her thoroughly and plastered her wound. Aditya was eagerly waiting for doctor to finish his diagnosis and tell them what happened to her. He exchanged the looks between Zoya and doctor for the entire time. Doctor gestured them to come outside and he headed out the room.

Aditya asked Arjun to stay next to her as he hurried outside to meet the doctor. Harsh asked worriedly, "Doctor, how is she now?" while Aditya joined them. "Nothing to worry, Harsh. She is fine except for that wound in her head and she is unconscious for now", Doctor said. "How long she will be unconscious?" Aditya asked.

"I have given her some injection and she will be unconscious for next two to three hours. She needs complete rest for few days. I would suggest that you take her for CT head scan once she is up and better", Doctor said. "Is there anything we need to worry about?" Aditya asked.

"No Aditya... Don't worry... There is nothing to worry about her health... just for formality and to be sure there is nothing wrong with her, CT scan is must..." Doctor said. Aditya nodded and Doctor said, "Okay... I'll take my leave... See you later in the hospital..." Aditya took his hand  and said, "Thank you, Doctor for coming in a short time..." He nodded and took their leave. 

As he left, Aditya came back to his room and filled Arjun on what Doctor said. Arjun hugged him and said, "Don't worry... Bhai... Nothing will happen to her..." as he patted on his shoulder. "Chotte... When I saw her falling off the stairs, I felt my life just... stopped... she her motionless... at the end of the stairs..." his voice broke down. "Bhai... Please... Nothing happened to her... Don't lose your hope... She is fine... She is just unconscious... Nothing happened to her, Bhai", Arjun tried to pacify Aditya.

Aditya wiped his face and said, "I can't live without her and she is my everything... But this accident made me realize that I forgot that she is my happiness... It's difficult for me to see her like this... I can't see her getting hurt because of  me again and again..."

"I have decided that I'm not going to take her for granted again. I have to make things right between us... I think I made too many mistakes already and it's the right thing to do..." He added. Arjun hugged him again and said, "I don't know what to say... Bhai... but whatever you decide I'm there for you..."

Aditya smiled and then Arjun walked out the room. Aditya sat next to her as he took her hand in his and kissed on her knuckles and then on her forehead. "I'm sorry, Zoya... When I almost lost you, I realized how much you mean to me and I can't see you getting hurt because of me... I just want you to be with me every minute and every second but I should stop hurting you first...", he said.
