Chapter 30: Where's Lisa?

"She left so early, Ms. Manoban came here and they left"

Jisoo's heartbeat fastens by the mention of her friend. What's happening?

She ended the call while looking at Irene in horror.

"W-Why? What did she say? Where's Jennie?" Irene asked. Afraid of hearing what's inside her mind.

"Lisa went there and they left," Jisoo said that made them gasp. Irene just cries even more.

She's so hurt. Did Lisa leave her already? She chooses Jennie again. She felt so worthless. Isn't she enough? Why did Lisa leave? Did Jennie really win? Does Lisa love her so much that even if she doesn't remember her anymore, she still chooses her?

That's just some of the questions that are running through her mind.

She doesn't know what'll happen if Lisa really leaves her just to be with Jennie.

She feels so useless for not being enough for Lisa.

Where did she miss? Did she do something wrong that made Lisa leave her?

"Unnie, dinner's ready" Wendy walk inside the room.

"I'm not in the mood" Irene answered, not moving nor looking at Wendy.

Since earlier, she didn't go outside her room. She stayed under the blanket while crying every time she'll remember Lisa. The squad tried calling the latter but it's still out of reach.

They don't want to jump to some conclusion because they knew Lisa, she won't do that to Irene. They know how much she loves her and even if it's obvious that Lisa goes with Jennie, they won't believe it until it's from her.

"Unnie, you're still not eating anything for this day, you have to eat" Wendy sat at the bed.

"I'll wait for Lisa, she hates eating alone," Irene said, turning her back to Wendy.

"Unnie, she'll hate it more if you're starving yourself. You know how concern she is when it comes to you" Wendy said softly.

"Then she has to come home now," Irene said as her voice cracked. Her tears started to fall again. Wendy holds her arm to rub it soothingly.

"Unnie, you know she loves you," Wendy said.

"I'm more than aware of that among all of us here," Irene said, still crying so hard.

"But I'm now doubting it. Why does she have to leave without telling us just to go to Jennie? She's not answering calls and both her and Jennie are nowhere to be found" Irene bitterly said. Every word hurts and is giving a hard pinch at her heart.

She knows she has to trust Lisa but whenever she'll remember that she's with Jennie right now, she'll lose it and will cry out loud.

Wendy can't do anything but comfort Irene until she falls asleep.

"You really need to explain this Lisa, we'll be mad at you if ever we're right," Wendy said to herself while looking at Irene who still has tears in her cheeks even if she's already fast asleep.

Wendy walk downstairs and said that they should start eating because Irene already's asleep.

After eating and cleaning the table, they decided to watch the TV in the living room before they sleep.

"Do you think they eloped?" Seulgi suddenly asked while they're watching that made them all look at her.

"Let's wait for Lisa. She won't leave us hanging" Jisoo said.

"But what if they really did?" Yeri asked.

"I don't know anymore," Jisoo said then sighed.

It's past ten in the evening when they decided to sleep but when Joy was about to turn off the TV...

"Wait!" Rosé shouted that made them look at her.

"It's uncle and Kai," she said, pointing at the screen. They look at it and yes, it's really them. Joy sat back in her seat on the floor beside Seulgi and they listen to the news.

"And right now after finding that the place where the police found an illegal casino and prostitution was running, they arrested Kim Jongin of Kim's company after finding that the place is under his name," The reporter said that made them gasp.

The news was showing Kai being arrested by the police outside his apartment. He keeps on fighting and cursing them, saying that he doesn't know what they were talking about.

"After knowing this news, the board of directors and stockholders of Kim's company asked for a meeting with Mr. Kim, Kim Jennie's father, the former CEO of their company. Mr. Kim attacked Kim Jongin while he's being arrested after finding that he bought a lot of properties inside and outside the country to run illegal casinos and prostitution that the authorities already raided. It became the top topic of the world after knowing that the company, was under a big debt"

"Should I feel sorry?" Rosé asked herself while watching the screen where Mr. Kim is giving punches to Kai while the police are holding him back and the reporters keep on recording.

"Lol. I'll throw a party after this" she said that made the squad to chuckle.

"Karma is a bitch" Joy said.

"That's still not enough though. He should be thankful that that's just what happened to him" Seulgi said.

"Yeah. After everything he did to Lisa, to his own daughter, and to all the people who he turned down? He thought that Kai is his win but turns out Kai becomes his lose" Jisoo added.

"If he wants to keep his company, he should pay all of the debts using his own money because for sure, all of his stockholders pulled out their shares after finding this. He also needs to find his new heir because he's getting old day by day or if he's really a jerk and stupid, he'll keep Kai to his side" Wendy said that made them laugh.

"Guys"

They turn their heads to the stair where Irene is rushing to walk while holding her phone and dressed up like she's about to go somewhere.

"Jennie texted me," she said that made the squad stand up and wait for her to continue.

"She wants to meet me, I need to go," Irene said and was about to walk when Jisoo run to block her way.

"This late?" She asked.

"She's with Lisa. I need to see them. I need to see her" Irene said as her tears started to fall again.

She doesn't know why Jennie wants to see her at this hour but she's sure that it's about Lisa.

"We're coming," Rosé said and the others nodded before looking at Irene again.

Irene just nods her head before they all walk outside. They separated into two cars since they won't fit in one. Seulgi and Jisoo is the driver.

The ride is silent because no one dared to talk.

Irene keeps on fidgeting in her seat while thinking about what's about to happen. She's so nervous and scared.

Will Jennie announce to her that she and Lisa will be together again?
