As Din Djarin landed softly where he had left the Razor Crest, safely holding the child in his arms, he saw why Kuiil did not answer when he called him. He deactivated his Rising Phoenix and walked over.

The Ugnaught lay on the dusty ground, not far from his faithful Blurrg, who had been shot out from under him.
Even a quick glance showed the Mandalorian that Kuiil was dead. So this was the end of a life that had not been easy. He remembered what the Ugnaught had told him about working for the Galactic Empire. What Kuiil had thought was a simple labor contract turned out to be an oppressive contract. With a lot of time and effort, he had managed to buy his freedom.
Free at last, the Ugnaught went to Arvala-7 to live a peaceful life. It was peaceful until the Mandalorian came looking for the bounty he was supposed to find for a client.

Din put the child down and began to make a grave for the non-human, whom he barely knew, but who became an advisor and almost a friend to him. A friend who helped where help was needed and who in the end paid with his life.
The ground was too hard for an actual grave, so Din piled stones on top of the corpse after removing the Ugnaught's cap and goggles. After completing this sad task, the Mandalorian placed the cap with the goggles on the grave like a headstone. No name, just this. There was no need and no time. Anyone who had known Kuiil would know that it was he who was buried in this place. The Mandalorian picked up the child and walked over to the Razor Crest. There, he made sure the child was safely in its seat, started the engine and left behind the planet that had brought neither him nor Kuiil any luck.
He would never hear the Ugnaught say "I have spoken" again.
