Chapter 12

She looked from the other girl to Aris a few times before she lowered her gun slightly. "Aris?" She asked tentatively. Everyone turned and looked at Aris. The girl pulled down the band an which had been covering her face, and Aris stepped forward.
"Oh my god, Harriett?" He asked, a dumbfounded look on his face. The girl pulled him into a hug.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She asked, pulling away and examining his face.
He looked over at the blonde girl who had also pulled her mask down. "Sonya..." he said as she hugged him too. "Aris you're lucky we didn't shoot your dumbass!"

She pulled away and began asking if he was alright. I looked around at my fellow gladers who looked just as confused as I probably did. Minho and Newt exchanged glances before one of them spoke. "Uh... what's happening?" Minho called out, causing the girls to look over at him.

"We were in the maze together."

Harriett stepped forward and whistled, before calling out. "We're clear guys! Come on out!" We all looked up and saw a bunch of people step out from behind bushes and rocks, revealing themselves. They must've been the ones shooting.
They were spread out across the mountain top and they all began calling out to each other. "We're clear!" "It's safe!" "Come out!"

We all slowly lowered our hands, which we had in the air as surrender.

Sonya led us the a tunnel at the edge of the road. She began shouting orders for them to back it up. We watched as several large army trucks backed up, revealing a large camp full of men with guns and supplies. "We're taking them to base!" Sonya announced.
"Wait, so... how did you guys get here?" Aris asked. "The Right Arm got us out," Harriett said. "Wait... the Right Arm? Do you know where they are?" Thomas interjected.

Harriet smiled and opened the door of one of the vehicles. "Hop in."

   We pulled up to the Right Arm's Base a few minutes later, and what we saw wasn't what we expected. At least, it's not what I expected.
   It was mostly tents. There were lots of crates over flowing with different supplies and materials, which sat in different places around the large area.

   Now, when i say tents i don't mean like a small camping site. I mean a large several acre area littered with different stations and tents. There were people roaming around, walking in and out of tents, talking to each other, it brought a happy feeing to my chest.
   I could feel Thomas' emotion too, but his was mostly relief as we stood and observed the people bustling around.

   An older man approached us with an unfriendly and suspicious look on his face. He stood silently while Sonya began explaining that we were safe and that she knew Aris.
   "We were in the maze together," she said, looking back at Aris with a smile. "They still need to be checked, Sonya," he said sternly.

   He opened his mouth to say something else but was interrupted by the sound of someone falling to the ground.

   I looked over and saw Brenda laying on the ground, shaking and convulsing. "Brenda!" I yelled as I made a run for her. I hadn't even noticed the several people who had run over to help.
   "Brenda!" Jorge exclaimed, running over as well. The man began shouting orders as I grabbed onto Brenda and tried to hold her still.

   She looked like she was having a seizure, but i don't know a whole lot about them or what to do. I watched as a woman noticed the bandage around her leg. My eyes widened as i realized they were about to figure it out.
   The woman rolled up Brenda's pants leg and undid the bandage and saw the bite. The main guy immediately drew his gun and stepped back. I didn't realize what was going on around me until i felt two large pairs of hands grab my arms.
   "Let go of me! Brenda!" I screamed as i kicked and squirmed. I saw that it had been two tall and large guys wearing what almost looked like an army uniform, except it was khaki pants and a grey t-shirt.

   "Hey!" I heard several gladers exclaim. "Let go of her!" I heard a british voice yell. I turned and saw two men step forward and grab Newt and hold him back. The next thing I knew almost all of us were being held back by Right Arm guys.
   Jorge, Thomas, Minho, Finnick, Newt, and I were all being held back. The rest of the gladers who weren't being held looked pissed, and Chuck looked scared.

   The woman calmed him down and eventually told him she knew how to stop it temporarily. She took Thomas and got several men to grab Brenda and follow.
   The men slowly released me and then the others let go of my friends. Newt walked over to me and asked me if i was okay. "I'm fine," I said, watching the woman lead Thomas to a tent.

The man in charge introduced himself as Vince and began leading us to a tent somewhere else. "Actually... can I go with them?" i asked, pointing towards Thomas and Brenda. Vince glanced towards them and nodded, and I took off after them.
