"Wow, this place hasn't changed much since the last time I've been here"
"It sure didn't, except Dante broke that window the other day"
"Haha, it's good to be back"
~Minutes later, we tried going inside for once & whoa, the place was dusty *cough**cough* it had various old rooms & there was a small chandelier in what looked one of the living rooms in the orphanage. We were in there for a few minutes 'til the floor & the ceiling had enough of our movements😬 so we rushed out to the backyard that was blooming periwinkles then that's when I noticed Cadds' hair shifting~
"Uh, y-you're hair just grew the streak 'again'" I indicated as my friend let out a quick gasp,
"Again?"
"I know that this isn't the first time for it to happen, but, I was meaning to ask this since the time I met you & the boys but no one seem to answer"
"What is it?"
"Is it because of your hair that half of the orphanage & the town, are giving you these glares or is it...something else?"
~That question had been on my mind throughout a year & now I finally got the courage to ask Cadds~
I watched as she bent her head to the fine grass, "....I guess it's alright to tell you"
"Of course it's alright. I'm all ears👂🏻👂🏻" I said, tucking in my legs as I slowly waited to hear the story,
"Ok. So no it's not because of my hair. Well, it sort of is but that's not the main reason, it's likely because of where I'm from"
"Where you're from?"
"And...my parents" Cadds nodded,
"You're parents?" 🤨
~Some thoughts were running through my head at that moment but I couldn't get them out. I sat up straight as Cadds could only tell me a small portion of her past & to say I was very...surprised~
"Oh...I didn't know you were from 'that' area. And to think that you ended up here by yourself with the twins"
"Yeah...😔"
".... I know how that feels. I'm kinda like you, you know"
"Then again, if we hadn't met up we couldn't have been friends which I'm glad for" Cadds smiled, reaching out her hand to me,
"Mhm. Me too, bestie😁"
