Chapter- 8

The other man seemed to have heaved a sigh of relief.

At the time, Xiao LongShi came in holding a plate with some chicken wings. He exclaimed, "Mother."

His mother was shocked to suddenly see her son, who had went to train himself in a prominent sect. She muttered, "A-Shi...?"

Xiao LongShi served the plate and asked, "Where are others?"

Sizhui said, "They are in veranda."

"Oh okay... By the way, this is my mom." LongShi said while bringing his mother forward.

Sizhui said with a smile that wasn't like a smile, "Yeah we thought so too. I'll go call the-"

But before he could complete his sentence, he heard Jingyi shouting, "Why was JinLing coughing so violently?" Followed by Zizhen.

Jingyi had an unknown smirk on his face that he was trying suppress but still couldn't hide it. But then frowned, when he saw two unwanted people.

JinLing said, "Oh so you've quite good hearing skills."

Jingyi was about to answer, but before he could Zizhen spat out, "Its not that. He was actually intently trying to hear the conversation behind the door - "

"Oihoi Zizhen look! Chicken wings! Its meat!" Zizhen was interrupted by the un Lan disciple of Lan Sect. Ofcourse that's Jingyi. Plus Zizhen also got a nice smack on his back.

Jingyi dragged Zizhen to the table where yummy chicken wings were kept. Even ignoring the new character that was their host's mother.

"What were you trying to say?" JinLing asked.

Zizhen didn't say anything at first. His eyes unintentionally met with Jingyi, as if they were shouting at each other through telepathy.

Within next moment, Zizhen replied, "Ah, you didn't understood? I said, Jingyi was actually worried when he heard the loud coughing noise of yours, the Sect Leader of Jin Sect! So, he tried to listen it through the doors. Now understood?"

"Ohh" came a respond from both JinLing and Sizhui. Then they both looked at each other, and turned away.

Jingyi sighed in relief, that Zizhen was good in making up things. He could actually made things up within fraction of seconds and told them without hesitation. Seriously, wow.

"Where's Jin ShangLi?" finally the host spoke.

"He must be at veranda." Zizhen replied, "Oh by the way who's this lady?"

Xiao LongShi answered, "Ah she's my mother. Mother they are my friends. He's Ouyang Zizhen. The guys in white robes are the disciples of Lan Sect. And the one sitting there in the Sect leader Jin."

"Ah... Sect Leader Jin." Her eyes widened in surprise, seeing such person in her primitive little cottage, that was not so primitive.

She said, "We're honored that you came to this old lady's home."

"Its no big deal." replied JinLing with an expressionless face.

"How arrogant." ofcourse who in this world would have the guts to bicker with Sect Leader Jin if not Lan Jingyi?

JinLing exclaimed, "Shut up Jingyi!"

Jingyi nonchalantly replied, "You really are an arrogant brat. Who'll marry you if you are like this?"

He though said it nonchalantly, but JinLing was triggered. His eyelashes fluttered and he thought of those gentle eyes, and those beautiful thin lips.

Won't those eyes ever lovingly gaze at him?

Won't those beautiful lips ever smile for only him?

He replied in a voice that was like as if someone was choking him, but Jingyi and others clearly heard it. JinLing actually said, "Sorry" in front of everyone.

Jingyi, Zizhen, Sizhui and even LongShi and his mother were shocked.

JinLing was embarrassed like hell, but thank goodness that he only sweat out of embarrassment, and that his face didn't turn red.

He said, "I'll eat later. I'm going out to have some fresh air."

"Out? Right now? Its dark outside." Jingyi said.

JinLing only looked at him with a frown and an annoyed expression, but didn't said anything. He, the Sect Leader Jin, left the place like that to have some fresh air outside.

As he left through the main door. Jin Shangli entered from the back door.

When he looked at everyone's disdainful expression he was confused. From the moment they entered this building he had experienced enough drama that he hadn't in his entire life.

He straight away went to table and sat comfortably, and took a huge bite of the precious chicken that wasn't touched yet.

Everyone looked at him with wide eyes without saying a word. Having been the centered like this, he was embarrassed.

He said with a violent voice, "What?!"

At that moment everyone must have snapped back into the reality, and they all shifted their gazes. Jingyi, Zizhen, LongShi and ShangLi dug into the chicken wings. The lady went inside to help her daughter with food.

Jingyi was worried but nevertheless he still ate. When he saw Sizhui not eating, he asked, "Why aren't you eating?"

Sizhui took some time to process what had happened. He only shook his head in response. Jingyi said, "Fine then. Eat later."

Eat? How could he? When he was busy thinking something that made his mind into chaos?

Why did JinLing suddenly apologized when Jingyi mentioned that he won't get married?!

The heck! Was there someone in his mind?! No way. Is the girl beautiful? More than him?! Or what?!!

Like seriously what?!

EDIT: Btw I see some readers were kinda not satisfied with the part where Sizhui said, ''Its because Zewu jun had personally said me to protect you. So, right now only you should be in my mind, JinLing'' But then well aren't you curious of the next part?? Where he was about to say something but was interrupted by a 'Knock knock' well yk what hw was about to say?? 

"Well even if Zewu jun hadn't sent me, I would still come to protect you." 

And why not right. After all HE's Lan Wangji's son🤷‍♀️ and yk what he said after that... "Zewu jun's order is just an excuse, you're always in my mind."🤣🤣🤣 jk

AHAHAHAHA I should've written it earlier I guess... but doesn't matter or does it🤔. Well as they say half information is dangerous like that half flirt is also dangerous😂😂 did it make sense? I hope it did lo. Well I just hope that was a satisfactory line cz yk I don't really have much skills when it comes to flirting.
